Easy on road fix
I am now the veteran of four repairs to my tubeless tyres using these and it has become extremely simple and quick to do. The strips are sticky in the plastic container but just gently peel them off. They don't immediately fit through the eye of the application tool so you squeeze one end flat - easily done if you have something to press against such as a nearby piece of metal on a fence or such like but can be done between fingers or on a stone. once flat it will go through the tool eye, pull it gently half way though then - preferably with the tyre fully or part inflated so that you can see the hole clearly, place the tool over the hole and gently push until it punches through - push the tool down so that at least 50%, perhaps more like 70% of the plug is into the tyre and then gently pull it out leaving some of the sticky plug exposed. You can cut this down if able or simply ride and it will flatten and spread. I recommend not cutting it right to the tyre as the sticky plug flattening around the hole as you ride adds a layer of protection to the damaged area. Two repairs have lasted 6 months of regular use while one other was just to big a hole and eventually the plug popped out after some hard riding, I just stuck another in but will probably have to get a new tyre. Hope this practical experience helps someone.

If only everything in life were this simple
What a fantastically simple piece of kit! However, there is the odd caveat...My bike has tubeless tyres and so puncture repair is not via the usual kit, as in fiddly process of inner tube, glue and patches (or even the slightly easier Leeches). There may be all sorts of ways of repairing tubeless tyres, but I only know the one I’m reviewing here.I did have cause to use these once before a couple of years ago and seemed to remember it was pretty straight forward, but bought new ones for this latest repair because I didn’t think I would be able to find the old ones after so much time had passed. At £5 for the new ones I decided it would save a lot of hassle to just buy them anyway. The rear tyre has had a slow puncture since last year but, as long as I pumped it up before I went anywhere, I could always get where I needed to go (and wasn’t using the bike that much at the time so it was not really a big deal). Anyway, I was out yesterday and realised the tyre was deflating a little faster and so finally decided to tackle it. I should add that the tyres are filled with the green gunk associated with going tubeless but that, whilst effective, will only do so much.I got the bike home and located the small hole in the tyre and then ordered this repair kit from Amazon. It arrived the following afternoon.I should add that I looked at a few of the reviews before ordering it and it almost made me think twice. Il glad I didn’t, but I do take on board some of the comments. The rubber strips are laid out between two pieces of plastic sheeting. He first impression I had was how to actually take them off as they didn’t seem to want to budge. I overcame this problem by literally rolling one of the sheet and then rolling it between thumb and forefinger. The next bit looked like it might be tricky but proved to be the easiest part of the process...I laid the piece of rubber across the provided tool with the middle part of the piece situated on the end of the tool(if that makes sense?). I then push the tool into the tyre at the location of the tiny hole (the hole was so small it was very difficult to see). This went in almost up the the black plastic handle. I then pulled the tool out which left the piece of rubber double over in the tyre (see the photo I have provided).Job done!!I’m not sure whether you’re supposed to do the next bit or not, but I then trimmed some of the excess from the piece of rubber which was sticking out of the tyre and added some air to the tyre to bring it back up to full pressure. The only thing I can add is that I found the old kit minutes after finishing the repair and, despite them being over two years, I dare say I could use them in future too.Having located the puncture (probably the hardest part), the repair itself took less than a minute.

You get what you pay for I suppose
These do work but are pretty fiddly and not as easy as is suggested. The plug ropes were stuck to the packaging and almost useless but I persevered and managed to get them off - maybe mine were past their shelf life? The tool handle is too small to push through the tyre so you need to use something else to increase the size of the puncture hole. I plugged 3 thorn sized punctures and so far they have stayed inflated (tubeless with sealant).

Saved the day
A necessity if running tubeless. Had a big impact and put about a half inch crack in the tyre, popped one of these, sealant did the rest and has lasted until the tyre has naturally reached the end of its life. I think it would have been game over for the tyre and certainly my day on the trail if i wasn't running tubeless and didn't have these with me - thoroughly impressed. Granted you only get five strips but that's about £1.30 each and in my case saved a tyre £30-40 not even mentioning tubes, as i don't plan on going back.

A must have when running tubeless tyres on MTB
Does the job when your tubeless tyres fail to hold air

Sealed road tyre
Bought these for my road bike tubeless repair kit on recommendation from an online source. Had a bad puncture and the sealant couldn't keep the seal on a cycle, though I had never used it before was easily able on the roadside to pop up of these into the hole and pump the tyre and continue on the cycle without an issue. Seem expensive on the outset but pretty saved the price of a new tyre or having to use a tube at minimum.

Not sure what they are like when new, but after a couple of months, they are virtually useless...
Bought these for that 'just in case' moment, which happened on a ride last week. Large nail in my tyre, which i run tubeless. These had been in my pack for about 2-3 months. First issue was they had become so sticky, they were very difficult to remove from the plastic the were sandwiched between. Once i did get one out, it was also so sticky that there was no way you could thread it through the applicator tool. I also tried pushing the tool over the centre of the plug, but the tool prongs were so stiff it would not open either. I ended up having to try and 'poke' a loose strip through the tyre, which i eventually managed. Over all very disappointed.

Why buy ANYTHING else?
Usually, you get what you pay for. Not here: This is the cheapest AND the best tire plug for tubeless tires on bikes.I have used the more expensive versions of this, the dynaplug (with the pointy end) and many others, none come close, and the fact that this one is just cheap is the cherry on top. Here why:- It's light and small, you can even store that in your handle bar (I do!)- The driver is just fine, it doesn't break, it's long enough- The bacon strips are superior to other plugs: They auto seal in case of subsequent impacts, they're light and tiny, they do no leave residue or metal in your tire that'll damage your rim, they're surprisingly durable and finally they can fix holes caused by the rim (e.g. dinged rim with a sharp end) by laying them sideways.- It's extremely simple to useI've fixed 2 bikes this week from fellow riders being stranded, and quite a few before that. They all bought this tool and threw away what they had before. This told me I had to come back to this tool just to write a glowing review, because it deserves it.

Ottimo prodotto
