I recently purchased the Dudu N Girlie Satin Border Ladies Cotton Handkerchief, 28 cm x 28 cm, 12-Piece. Now, as the reader will appreciate, a quality kerchief is difficult to come by, what with the appalling combination of inferior fabrics and child labour in casual use these days. Now, I am not opposed to the use of small children working in far-flung factories in these exotic countries - after all, their slender, frail fingers can often achieve works of far better intricacy than those of their more mature counterparts, but the quality is often absent because these children are often neglectful of their responsibilities. Not in this case! The Dudu N Girlie Satin Border Ladies Cotton Handkerchief is a joy to behold! My kerchief needs are quite specific. I am an avid reader; my preferred location and position for my literary intercourse is in my bed, lying on my side. Now for my specific problem: the eye closest to the nylon pillowsham (invariably the left, as I have a sore right hip and therefore avoid lying on the offending side, so as not to exacerbate the problem - doubtless a touch of arthritis - I am a mature lady!) has a tendency to weep. This leads to an irritation of the sensitive skin between both eyelids and out to the side somewhat. What to do? I love to read but my enjoyment is often ruined as there I lie, with my weeping eye, tempted to wipe with a corner of the nylon pillowsham and thus irritating the area further. An alternative is to use the winceyette sheet but this is simply unacceptable. I will not have bodily fluids inappropriately splashed about on my bedlinen. And so this is where the Dudu N Girlie Satin Border Ladies Cotton Handkerchief comes in! I simply lie, on the left side, and before the eye begins to even think about seeping out onto the pillowsham, there is the trusty kerchief, ready to capture and wick away the offending moisture, tucked as it is under the arm of my reading spectacles. Genius! Never again will I discover moist patches on my bedlinen! This is a superb kerchief - and, what's more, I now have TWELVE!

With two little boys, and their snotty wee noses, we get through SO many tissues in our house. Decided in an effort to reduce expenditure on tissues, the amount of rubbish we produce, and the carnage when they get left in pockets and make it into the washing machine, to invest in some hankies for us all. Plumped for these as they seem reasonable value and quality. Arrived quickly and I popped them straight in the wash to soften them up. They're the perfect size for little boy's pockets and I'm happy with them too - at the tail end of a cold, and one comfortably lasts all day to mop up the odd nose blow and drips! (sorry TMI). Nice and soft too. Boys are really chuffed with them. So far so good.

I'm looking to reduce my disposable waste and was shocked by how many pocket tissues I get through so I've gone for these. After the first wash they are lovely and soft so less irritation on the nose and they are durable as well. Even some of my colleagues have converted to hankies after seeing me change to these.Good decision.

12 Hankies for £6.99 seemed to be the best value I could find. I wish I didn't have to resort to the internet, but I couldn't find any on the high street. They are smaller than some others I bought (different colours for the rest of the family) but I'm ok with that as they are less bulky in my pocket/ up my sleeve. They aren't completely square, and some of the stitching requires a little tidying up, but that doesn't worry me. I have been using them for a while now, I take them in the shower with me, hang to dry and re-use. If I have a cold I will boil wash them with tea tree oil. Sometimes there seems to be staining on them, which comes out with a stain remover stick and a soak. I'm happy with them and will probably get another pack in anticipation of a cold, knowing more will be needed and drying times will be longer in the winter. I was the girl who had a box of single use tissues in each room. No longer, I am converted.

I am so happy with these! They are perfect. I'm so surprised that they are so nice for such a great price. Love them.
