Let's just say, to paint my backyard fence and if I manage to get to the front sides you can't see in the video with brush and roller, it usually takes me 2 weekends ( I recently replaced about 40 slats 2weeks ago). Just for context you can see trees over my fence...that's a pain because after the winter the fence goes green as well. With this sprayer it took me just 6hours, I managed to do 2 coats as well. At the beginning I probably wasted 10% of my first paint bucket before I learnt to use less trigger force. After that, it was a breeze. Best sprayer ever and an excellent price point as well. Easy to assemble (there are loads of videos on youtube), very easy to clean as well. Highly recommend this Wagner product to anyone.

We have a large privacy fence which is a MAJOR pain to paint - especially by hand. We'd had this fence fitted a good couple of years ago, and have had it as a painting project for a good couple of summers as well! Living in Scotland, the Summers disappear as quickly as they come so finding the time to spend hours and hours and hours to pain this awkward fence was challenging. We are due to renovate our garden and decided that now was the time to revisit the painting monstrosity from scratch. I used a roller to paint the front slats and then started the painstaking process of painting the sides of the slats, and then what is effectively a second fence behind ours by hand with a brush (I hope this makes sense). Having spent hours and several weekends completing bits that hadn't been done previously I had pretty much finished the job except for one side that needed slat sides and the 2nd (back fence) painting - this is where the frustration came in. I needed to use a 1/2 inch brush to get through the gaps in the slats and it was at this moment I decided enough was enough - I'm buying a sprayer to complete the task (should have done this months, if not years ago!!). The fence was built by 2 separate traders so there is a slight difference on one element of the fence in terms of the gaps in the fence slats - one could be painted by hand (which I had) the other absolutely not - not with a 1/2 brush anyway!! (I have a 3 young kids, I work away a lot and our lives are very busy so time is short and very precious - just incase you're wondering why its taken years to paint a fence) Spent some time on Amazon and B&Q reading reviews and came across this product. I was apprehensive as we'd had 'professionals' come and quote for the job and advised against using a sprayer - weather conditions impacting, finish, consistency etc. I didn't want to spend a massive amount given I'd done most of the job already, but didn't have the patience to continue - so I picked this up whilst on offer (£58). I didn't need to water down the pain as actually the 2.5 litre Cuprinol (Urban Slate) paint already seems to be very watery - I'm not sure if that's by design or not (the 5 litre is far thicker). It arrived next day and now I was simply waiting for the right weather and moment to start the job!! The moment had come, the weather was good - sun was out, slight breeze but I was committed to getting this done - The renovation will start in a week or so and we go away for a week, so I had to just take the plunge!! I put everything together which is super easy, filled the canister with paint and pinged on the power and then WOW. This thing is exceptional for the cost. It sprays evenly, consistently, no clogging, very little spray excess (there was a light breeze), clean, effective coverage - it was just a joy to use! Don't get me wrong, after a short period of time my arm was aching, that's not a product issue, that's holding a heavy paint in a canister moving up and down. I'd completed the work I wanted to do within 30-40 mins (it would have taken days by hand) and then I decided to continue to 'touch up' the rest of the fence that had been painted in stages over the years which had elements of a green mossy substance starting to appear - mostly the side slats and the inner fence. Well, needless to say I'd repainted the whole thing within another hour! I couldn't believe how simple this process was and I'd kept saying to the wife exactly that - I cannot believe how quick and easy that was and why didn't I do that sooner!! Anyway, I hope this review helps if you are looking for a Fence/Decking sprayer to do the job - this thing is more than adequate! I'm already excitedly deliberating my next project!! Best £50 I've spent in a LONG time!! Fantastic product, easy to use and most importantly - a major time saver!!!

Used it for the first time today. Applied Ducksback to my decking. I watered it down about 5% as it was an old tub I’d had a couple of years. Worked a treat, great coverage and easy to apply👍. Make sure to clean the unit out after use and blow through with clean water after. Great sprayer, pleased I bought it.

After much research and reading reviews I bought this fence sprayer. Wow, what a difference to the ones I've used before. This is fabulous, easy to set up and hold. It does need refilling after each fence panel, slight inconvenience compared to the amount of time saved! It does does a lot of fence paint but the coverage is brilliant. I purchased the Ronseal One Coat Fence Protector Pouch 950ml pouches which, once diluted as instructed, is the same as a 5l tub but costs £5 instead of £17 for the same amount. The sprayer is so easy to clean as well. It took less than 5 mins to do. A friend who has used different sprayers, tried this and had nothing but good things to say about it.

Absolutely delighted with this! Used it over the sunny bank holiday as fence and shed painting season is upon us again, and honestly, this sprayer is a total game changer. Within 3 and a half hours I had completed 3 fences and a full shed with 2 coats of Ronseal Quick Dry — something that would usually take me around 3 hours just to do one fence by hand. It’s easy to set up, simple to use, and made the whole job so much quicker and less tiring. I’m genuinely buzzing with the results and actually wish I had more to paint because it made the job enjoyable for once. Highly recommend!

I bought this one after initially buying the battery version, so now have both. The battery version was fine but battery needed charging after a couple of fence panels, so I had to buy another battery, so one was charging whilst the other was being used. But then Black Friday I bought the plug in version at a very good price. Cut to the chase I’ve used the plug in version to paint 20 fence panels in the last month. I bought Cuprinol one coat sprayable. It’s quite runny so no need to water down. What I found was that you can spray a panel in around 1-2 minutes, but because it’s runny, it’s a good idea to then use a small paint roller or a wide brush to smooth over the excess. It’s also essential to have a dust sheet under the painted panel to catch the excess. Reality is the one coat sprayable, needs a roller/brush second coat for a fully painted finish. The spray whilst effective also puts a lot of tiny paint particles into the air, so it’s essential to wear a face mask and eye goggles. If you’re just painting wooden fence and fence posts it is a very quick and efficient way of painting. However if you have a wooden fence with concrete posts and base panel you’ll need to spend time masking the concrete.

This product comes in great packaging and the box is great for storage after using, there's also great visuals on the box. Assembling of the sprayer was very easy as most of it was straight forward and the information booklet was very user friendly Topping up the spray bottle I decided to use a measuring jug as I wasn't confident of getting a 5 litre tin poured in and that worked really well and I managed to fill to capacity Once I had prepped my area and plugged in the extension lead as the lead on the sprayer is not very long, I proceeded to spray three panels, roughly 8 minutes later and all done. I could not believe how easy and user friendly this sprayer is, knocking off the power to adjust the spray angle was so easy. I then proceeded to spray another four panels stopping only to refill the bottle. It took less than 30 minutes to spray seven panels and some edging which was super easy Once finished poured remaining paint back into the tin and cleaned up, this was also very simple All in all a superb sprayer that I wish I had bought years ago

Well, does paint come out in a spray? Yes, but that's as good as it gets. I used Ronseal fence paint. I followed the instructions to the letter but eventually looked at a YouTube video. I was treating a close boarded wooden fence. I made sure I had the correct settings on the spray head, practiced on an old fence, but the results were unacceptable. No matter how many ways I tried, the coverage was poor. I tried using the spray just as a way to get paint on the fence, then used a brush it in. In the end I gave up and found that the best results were simply using a brush. My recommendation is don't bother with the spray. I forgot to mention the plastic paint container for the paint is just too small and you spend half the time refilling it. Furthermore, it's very difficult to get the paint into this container, you need a funnel.

Nun habe ich mich auch für eine farbsprühpistole entschieden da die Holzhütte mal wieder Farbe brauchte. Die Farbe wird in Windeseile rausgepustet so das man angenehm flott vorran kommt ein großer Vorteil wär es wenn man den Eimer Farbe einfach an das gerät Schrauben könnte , aber man kann ja nicht alles haben . Ansonsten wär noch zu sagen das Gerät ist natürlich laut was aber logisch ist wenn luft angesagt wird .

Great product work really well saves a lot of time painting fences. One small complaint I have is the volume of paint the pot need to fill often other than that it’s excellent
