Samba 8 x 6ft Fun Goal - Portable Garden Football Goal Post

We bought the 8ft by 6ft version which is perfect size for my 11 year old son and our garden. He had a smaller 6ftx4ft from a different company which had become too small and had started to fall to pieces. At the time I thought that was OK but the SAMBA is far better, with thicker posts, good interlocking at the joints and a strong net. I cannot see this goal breaking and it has already had lots of hard shots whacked against the posts and cross bar. It was really easy to assemble, instructions were provided but we didn't need them as it was so straight forward. The only slightly tricky/fiddly bit was putting the clips on the net but once you get the hang of it they are also easy. The goal arrived ahead of time and was well packaged. I would definitely recommend and for the price I cannot see how you could get better.

We bought this goal as Samba is advertised as an all weather goal and used by schools/colleges (All previous goals we purchased have either gone rusty or the net has fallen apart). It was easily assembled and the net has numerous clips to help secure it around the large sturdy poles which is an added bonus straight away. It has only been used since yesterday but having 4 big teenagers kicking a ball at it, it doesn't seem to have bothered it at all. One big bonus....no metal to go rusty - just big plastic posts to deal with all weather. I'm hoping it will outlive all previous goals by a very long way - definitely worth paying that bit more if it does so.

These goals are just great. They arrived 1 day after ordering by courier. I opened the box and checked all parts were there and then with the instructions, which are pretty easy to follow, I had the 8ft x6ft goals, with net and clips, erected in no time! (actually 32 minutes to be exact! and I'm a woman!) They are really sturdy and not flimsy in any way. The net is of good quality and the clips which hold the net in place are great and there are plenty of them. My 2 boys have played for hours with them over the weekend and they have had number of balls kicked at them without movement. They come with arched shaped stakes which hold the goals totally in the ground.

We bought the 8x6 goal for garden use based on the fact that this is the brand that our local youth football club uses and so made the assumption that they must be able to stand up to a fair bit of use. It turned out to be very easy to assemble and stable enough to move around for mowing the grass etc. The only drawback, and hence 4 stars not five, is that one of the net strings has snapped after only a couple of months use. This was easily repaired but it did surprise me that this happened so soon. All in all, a nice goal though. Edit: Another month gone by and now the number of net strings broken is up to 5. I'm beginning to think that the net material isn't up to the job. This is happening during the summer months and I'm wondering whether the net will last through the winter in one piece...football is a winter sport so the net really should be able to stand up to weather and having a ball kicked against it. That is, after all, the purpose of the net. The goal frame itself is fine but it tends to become a little annoying when you have to keep repairing something only bought a few months ago.

I was looking for a football goal for my son after the metal one he had broke after about the second kick into it. Came across this one on amazon and after reading the reviews decided to buy it. It arrived fairly quickly with easy to understand instructions. After checking all the pieces were there (which they were) i started to put it up. Very easy to do. The poles are quite thick (not like the metal one we had) and it also looks good. The net is easy to put on with the clips provided and its very sturdy. Most important of all my son LOVES it!

Having accepted the slow demise of our lawn into a mudpit, we decided to invest in a proper goal to at least explain it's sorry state and make things look official. The goal arrived quickly and was super easy to assemble single handedly (the trickiest part was the netting). So far it has been pretty sturdy, taking a battering from small boys and a grown man. Would recommend.

Had owned a cheaper but similar looking goal which eventually broke and fell apart after being struck repeatedly by the ball on crossbar and posts. So I purchased this Samba model as a replacement having read it was manufactured with more sturdy materials and thicker joints in corners etc. I could not believe how much better made in every aspect this product is, a really sturdy, well made product that for the relatively small amount extra than cheaper inferior models is miles better and great value for money. I just wish I’d bought this one from the start and saved myself the money spent on the first!

Excellent fast service especially for the time of year, my son was delighted on Christmas morning and the goals now fit comfortably in our garden. We have quite a big garden by todays standards and these goals are just right. Also my 9 year old son can stand up in them and that is what he asked for as the previous goals we had were too small. They were fairly easy to put together and at the moment seem sturdy enough, we are impressed. Only time will tell how long they last but at the moment I would recommend them, the price seemed right and the service was excellent.
