Good insurance for tire splits
Good for sidewall repair to get home. Always carry one on my bike.

Life savers - a must for all distance cyclists
Blow out on (thankfully) an up hill section caused a sizeable hole in the tyre. These beauties, that normally sit unassuming in the saddle bag, came into their own and managed a useable repair to complete the final 45 miles of the journey including four miles of 17%+ descent, during which, although a little twitchy, I had almost complete confidence in the repair holding. I was not disappointed. Tyre now on my turbo and still holding out well with repair. If it hadn’t been for these, I would have potentially had a very long walk with a non-functioning bike as was in the middle of nowhere with little to no phone signal!

Must have back up
Does the job, even after being in the saddle bag for years, although adhesion can be tricky on really old ones, which is not their fault and more about the storage.Saved the day on a couple of occasions

Bought for my emergency cycle bag in case the Tyre ruptures, should get me home. Looks good.

Works very well, but expensive
Bought them thinking that I’d never need them, but alas the time finally came. Saved me from a long walk home after a nasty tyre explosion. They cost a lot for what they are, but saved me a tenner in taxi funds so that kinda covered the cost of them. Will never ride without one in my saddle bag.

Best patches out there for those still running tubes
Of course, tubeless is the right answer but if you have any old bikes with tubes, this is a great patch kit that I've trusted for many years cycling. No fiddling with glue, patches go on and stay stuck and it's a tiny package. Have had previous bikes with maybe 10+ GP2 patches on the tube. Never had a patch fail yet.

Great tyre boot
Never needed to use mine but they've saved the rides of a couple of friends of mine when their tire has split from a bad puncture. Will get you home, and that's what they're about!

Why not carry one?
I always carry a pump, tyre levers and spare inner tube but this lot would prove useless if I ever got a significant slash in my tyre and that might mean being stranded miles from home. Now, I have never had to use one of these patches but I would hope they'd be effective for all but the biggest of slashes. They're cheap, lightweight and not at all bulky (stick one in your wallet!) and, being Park Tools, you'd hope they're going to be at the upper end of the quality spectrum. So why not just buy a set and stick one in your saddlebag, wallet or whatever. Then, should the day come that you need one.....

Great emergency fix for holes in tires.
At first glance, these seem expensive for what they are - a piece of rubber to temporarily patch a hole in your tire so you can get home. However, the thickness of these patches and adhesive to make them stay in place makes them optionally a longer solution than just a one time use. I got a hole a hole in the sidewall of a nearly new Maxxis 700x25 tire and put a replacement tube in and aired it up. After a few minutes, the tube worked it's way through the sidewall tear and burst. I was upset that a nearly new $50 tire was toast after only a few rides! But then I put this tire boot in, aired it up to 110 psi, and waited. No pop and the tube was unable to work through the sidewall. A slight bulge, but it was holding. I was able to ride that tire for probably another 500-600 miles on training rides, which made me a solid fan of these boots. I only changed out the tire because I was participating in a century ride and didn't want to take any chances a burst tire would ruin my 7 hour paid ride event when I was far from home.

Ottimo!
