LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (Xbox 360)

Definitely the best Lego game to date. I personally got bored of the Lego games pretty quickly, as they all seemed to be very samey and repetitive (e.g Lego Indiana Jones 1, Lego Batman, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean). However, all that has thankfully changed with this game. In Lego Marvel, the core gameplay is essentially the same as previous Lego games (destroy everything in the level to collect studs, complete puzzles by building things, and unlock characters). However, the levels in Lego Marvel are far more varied, and are presented in a much more cinematic and exciting way. The variety amongst the playable characters is much improved too, with most of the characters feeling unique and closely resembling their comic book counterparts. There's also a fantastic hub world to explore, full of side missions and things to do, which is probably the greatest innovation of this game. It was also great fun, as a comic book reader and a fan of Marvel, to notice all of the in-jokes and references. Here's hoping for a Lego Marvel vs DC game next!

Good quality product, good value for money

A fun, funny and charming game, with an enjoyable main story and a massive amount of additional adventures, activities and collectibles that'll keep you playing for weeks, in a fantastic, sprawling Lego recreation of Marvel's Manhattan. The voice acting is great (the ridiculously uber-patriotic Captain America is hilarious!), the levels are beautifully designed - the Lego version of Asgard is particularly good - and the action is fast and slick with some good puzzles thrown in. Unlocking all of the various playable characters (or creating your own from scratch) is pleasingly addictive and adds extra replay value, as new characters with new powers allow you to replay previously explored levels in new ways, accessing hidden areas and uncovering secrets and surprises. Basically, it's a classic. And you can play as Squirrel Girl! What more does a Marvel fan need to know?! :)

This game was bought for me on my birthday, and I have to say I am very pleased with it. I had played this at friends houses and really enjoyed it, so I decided to put it on my wish list. As soon as I got this game I put it on the xbox. I was very happy with the game, yet slightly disappointed by the fact that when I had played it on my friends xbox there was free play, but for some reason I didn't have it. After completing a few missions, I was extremely happy to find that I had unlocked free play, as this is my favourite part. As well as being able to play several missions, as many of the characters from the marvel films and comics, you can also do free play, where you can drive around in some of the superheroes cars, as well as complete sub missions and play as all the characters you have unlocked. This game is very good.

Lego Marvel Superheroes is a great game. It’s everything a true Marvel fan could ask for, bringing all of the beloved characters and some not-so-loved ones all together. Once again, Tt Games pulled through and delivered. While it’s not the best Lego Game (that would be Lego City Undercover), it’s definetely worth your time and money. The plot is the only bad thing that I have to argue about. It’s very weird, complicated and not that interesting. Until the 9th level, it seems like each level is an independent story that travels you through Marvel’s most iconic locations and allows you to play as Marvel’s most popular characters. But, after that, you have to deal with stupid and poorly designed levels. Speaking of levels, besides the main story, the game offers 11 bonus levels which are just AWESOME!!!! Why? Because they include everything that made the golden age of comics cool. They lure you with their characters and their exciting, yet simple stories. One time, you will be fighting Dormamu in his house as Susan Storm, Human Torch and Doctor Strange and another time you’ll be trying to spice up Tony Stark’s party as Iron Man and War Machine. And the icing on the cake; they’re narrated by the merc with a mouth himself, the one and only Deadpool!!! My favorite levels are Biofrosty Reception, Juggernauts And Crosses, House Party Protocol and Nuff Said. Graphics are unbelievable! They look so realistic and pleasing that I never get tired of them (that is shown especially in Bifrosty Reception). The characters are implemented the way they should be and none of them feels rushed or forced. And there’s an additional feature: you can play as the Man himself, Stan Lee !!!!!! OK, that’s amazing!! He has almost every ability in the game, but just the idea is genius. The overworld is New York City and SHIELD’s Hellicarrier, where lots of challenges, quests, hidden bonuses, characters and vehicles await you. I did get a little frustrated with the races and the flying controls, but once I got the hang of it, I had tons of fun. Quests can get tiring, but I particurarly enjoyed some. In conclusion, Lego Marvel Superheroes is a true gift to Lego and Marvel fans. It captures the essence of why we love Marvel on the first place and expands on it. So, if you’re a Marvel fan, buy this game. You won’t be dissapointed.

Although the game I received from amazon arrived damaged and was returned I bought this game elsewhere I really love this game. I bought it to play it with my daughter as a two player, we both love it. She is 4 years old and she seems to be able to complete missions with a little bit of help from me fine. The characters you would want are all here. There are a good mixture of missions and free-play within the game. The only issue is that some missions are a little harder and there aren't any hints also within a mission it is a little frustrating to have to play as a character that you don't want to be. But the missions do use the characters in the Marvels avengers movies so my daughter knows them quite well. A brilliant game which I highly recommend as its very fun.

fun game, One of my favorite lego video games, because of the roaming for the map. The missions are fun and exciting. One run in though, there are a couple of glitches in the game that cause you to restart your level, but only if you goof off and kill each other, or if one person wanders off the map.
