Useful, inexpensive planner
This was not expensive and it does the job I want it to do. I helps me to organize my week and I use the notes on the side to remind myself of what I need to get done and what I need to mention in meetings. It helps me to keep track of what is happening on any particular week. I only have one or two registers to take because I am a Librarian/LRC Manager but having registers makes things easier for me to do this daily task. The fact that there are no dates and it is blank means that you can use it exactly as you want to. The only things I wish could be better is that it had more pages and that the seating plan pages were not set out the way they are, with blocks representing desks evenly spaced out because that's often not how classrooms are laid out. If it were more flexible, for example if you could draw a diagram of your classroom on these pages and write the names of students on that, these pages would be more useful.

Brilliant week-to-view planner for busy teachers!
This is the 2nd time I have purchased this planner, the first time during my PGCE, and now as a more experienced teacher. In between I have used the ones supplied by my school, which are the pretty standard one day to a page planners. I find that I always stop using these properly half way through the year, mainly because I hate that I can’t see my week ahead of me at a glance. This is so important to me because if something needs to be done on Friday, I need to be able to see it on Monday! Having the week laid out just works for me, I just don’t have the time or inclination to keep turning pages to find a few days ahead in the off chance that there might be something there I need to plan for - believe me I’ve tried and I’ve missed loads of important to-dos! Seeing the week ahead gives me a sense of calm in a hectic world, I know what’s coming up and I can say no or yes to someone’s demands accordingly, instead of the default ‘yes, I’m sure it will be fine’, only to realise later once I’ve turned the pages that I can’t after all! If this resonates with you then I would recommend a week-spread planner like this one. Some reviewers say there isn’t enough room for each lesson, and yes you do sacrifice the space once you move away from day-to-page. However, how much you need to write depends on what system you have I suppose. I don’t have time to write much, and I use abbreviations and make full use of coloured highlighters (obvs, I’m a teacher after all). Class code, lesson title, homework due, homework set is all I really need and that fits fine. I have a little extra space to write anything important from the lesson - such as the slide number we got to if we didn’t finish (very handy for continuing next week). The notes section I divide into days of the week and put my to do lists there. If you have a 5/6 period day then you also get the spare lesson boxes for notes too.I don’t find it cheap quality at all, unlike some other reviewers. The cover is lovely and flexible and it does bend all the way back as it’s wire bound - so much better than a thicker hardback planner, fits in my bag without the need for stuffing in and looks professional and understated too. The paper isn’t as thick as I’d like, but the benefits far outweigh this minor detail.I don’t really make use of the extra pages because I have an electronic mark book etc, however I do keep my own homework hand in records so the mark sheets are great for this. A lot of planners have pages for all sorts of things that I would never use, so this planner is perfect for me because it keeps things simple - if I had enough time in my day to write down urls for all of the resources I’d found online I would have to question my priorities! Thankfully there’s no such table to fill in for this purpose, neither is there a page for exam board details or 42 pages of organisations that I may find useful one day. The seating plan pages are a great addition that you don’t always see in planners. It’s great to feel a bit more organised again!

American too little space to write
For American schools. Has 8 periods, mist UK schools have 6-7. Not much space to write in boxes as it leaves 2 boxes next to Friday for notes. So Monday-Friday boxes get squashed. Binding is well protected.

Works okay
If you just want a functional planner that you put your own dates, times and agenda into, then this works well. Each time section is big enough to write some details in to keep a record of material covered. Not very pretty to look at.

Perfect weekly planner for teaching. There is a timetable section, birthday section, notes section. Couldn’t be without mine.
