I bought this spray to help with a rather dirty puppy, who was going through his ' let's roll around in everything smelly that I can find!' stage. He is a Lhasa Apso, who I am keeping in full coat, so he needs very regular grooming - however, I didn't want to be bathing him too frequently. My son commented one day that the little one smelled rather like a used puppy pad (putting it politely!) and I knew that something had to be done! I read many reviews about this product, and thought that I would give it a try... that was quite some months ago, and the great thing is, I am still using the same bottle of cologne spray that I bought then. I noticed when the spray arrived, that the bottle seemed considerably less than full - something that I have noticed several other reviewers comment on. As I needed it there and then, and I didn't want the hassle and expense of returning the item, I decided to simply go ahead and use what was in the bottle, before making a decision to buy more. I needn't have been worried - the spray is so concentrated, that you have to use only the smallest amount, so, I am still using the original order! The fragrance is very pleasant, and if you bear in mind that it's very concentrated, a little certainly goes a long way. I have never sprayed it directly onto my puppy 's coat - I would not like to risk him turning around suddenly, and getting the spray in his eyes - but it's great for simply spritzing onto a brush, then grooming it through the coat. I have found that three puffs of the spray is more than enough to transform a whiffy puppy into a gorgeously fragrant little pooch! As a very nice bonus, the spray seems to have a beautiful smoothing effect on the coat. I have also used it for another of our dogs, a full-coat Shih Tzu / Lhasa Apso cross, and her coat has never looked (or smelled!) So good. It positively glistens, and is very smooth and lies beautifully, when I use the spray on her. I find that one application lasts at least 4 to 5 days in the older girl's coat, and the little one gets his coat done with a quick refresher every third day or so... I am really delighted that it is so effective! Not only does it leave the dogs smelling freshly bathed and groomed, it also conditions their coats beautifully - I most certainly will be keeping this spray in my grooming kit, and as I do my own grooming, I will be very happy to re-order it when the time comes. It's just to useful not to keep on hand! One small point that I have, my puppy initially reacted in a rather exaggerated manner to the smell of the spray! I was careful to spray it onto his brush away from his face, in fact, right away from him, but the moment I brought the brush near to him, he leaped backwards, curling up his little face and sneezing repeatedly! He kept snarling until I soothed and reassured him, then, when he was completely relaxed, I slowly introduced the brush with the spray on it, again. It must have been the highly concentrated smell that affected him at first, because once he had got used to it, he was absolutely fine. I would not have persisted with the spray if it had distressed him, so I am happy that it must have just been the very strong fragrance that took him by surprise! For a short while, he used to sneeze rather theatrically as soon as I got the bottle out, before I had so much as taken the top off, let a lone spritzed any out, but he grew out of this after a few weeks (he can be very much the little attention seeker, and I think he used to enjoy my making a fuss of him as part of the 'reassuring' process!) As I say, if I had found that he really was worried about the fragrance, I would not have kept using it. The older girl has never reacted in any way to being groomed with this spray. Just something to mention, as of course, our dogs have a much more highly evolved sense of smell than we do - if we find a fragrance to be 'strong', they must find it mind blowing!! Now that he is nine months old, his coat needs less 'fragrance' to rescue it from the whiffy puppy odours, of course, but I am still using the spray as part of his regular grooming routine, and his coat is in wonderful condition. I am very happy indeed to recommend this product, and I find it is not only very pleasant at handling odour issues, but it has a lovely effect on the coat, too. A great side-effect! I will certainly be keeping a bottle of this grooming spray in my kit, and am delighted to say that it's worked wonders for my dogs. Certainly a five star rating, from me and my beautifully fragrant, soft coated, glossy dogs!

Smells lovely good product

This has a really strong smell! You only lead one squirt. I did about 6 sprays first time it made our house smell strong of talc for about 2 days. Otherwise it good. Our dog is a stinky old girl and it does help between washes for sure. Should last a long time with only needing one squirt at a time.

My groomer uses this and it smells so good. No leakage, spray quality is good and the scent lasts for a couple of days, beautiful

Whilst on our latest camping excursion, our beloved greyhound Max took rather a shine to the owners Joan and Bruce's award winning Shitzu Pompom. She really is quite a treasure, winning rosettes up and down the country, having attained 'best in show' in Shittington last Summer. He'd also taken quite a liking to baked beans, in particular the M&S ones containing sausages. Unfortunately, he has rather a delicate tummy we found out subsequently. On the second morning of our trip, my wife went to powder her nose and left the beans to rest on the table, Max helped himself to them all, the little scamp. Some little while later he spotted Pompom who had just returned from the beauty parlour. He broke free from his lead immediately, sprinting at full speed toward Pompom, filled with excitement and beans, he knocked Joan and Bruce to the floor and as he reached out his front paws to embrace Pompom, the beans reached his rear exit followed by the remains of Marjories rather nice M&S chicken curry he'd finished the previous evening, spraying Pompom, Bruce and Joan from head to toe for 15 seconds straight. I immediately reached into the glove box of the Range Rover for the Baby Spray and proceeded to coat them all, immediately neutralizing all of the offending odour, as Marjorie really can't abide the smell of faeces first thing in the morning, thereby averting a complete catastrophe. The spray has it's limitations I might add, Joan's tweed twinset was completely ruined and Bruce struggled to remove partially broken down chicken, sausage and bean from his left ear and right eye for some 2 hours afterwards, but aside from that, a pleasant strong and lasting scent. Highly recommended.
