Great Works With Sony a6000
Note: This is not an official Sony one. The Sony one cost staggeringly more. The big names rip us all off with stuff like this. Not just a little more but huge amounts more. Probably if you opened them up you would find that they buy and use the same components to achieve this very simple opperation. This is a great product. Does exactly what its supposed to. Matches the official Sony one in all aspects, even looks like it. Why pay ten times as much for a Sony one.The Sony a6000 I have wasn't listed but for this price I thought id take a chance, and as stated it worked perfectly with it. If your camera not listed take a chance, at this price if it doesn't work with your model just move on to the next cheep one. No problem with build quality battery compartment perfectly ok.

EXCELLENT FOR SONY NEX5r
Yep, this is a great piece of kit. I am using it with a Sony NEX5r.Quality looks fine and it seems well made. Battery tray clips in nicely and a battery is supplied with the unit.I spent ages trying to get it to work. I figured it must be a camera menu setting somewhere. Finally found it thanks to another on-line review.Go to menu > CAMERA'CAMERA' > 'DRIVE MODE' > REMOTE CDR (shows an icon of a remote)I've tested the range. It was still working when i ran out of space at about 8 metres. So yes, it's an effective gizmo that does the job. No bad points that I can see. I guess the range might be reduced under certain conditions (maybe bright light???) and I haven't tested that yet. I can't comment on battery life or reliability yet but I have a good feeling about it. Very pleased.

Superb stuff - remotely triggers your shutter! Get one for macro (no camera vibration) or group shots that you'd like to be in!
This little widget is superb. It arrived very nicely packaged from it's Asian origin and does exactly what i want it to....remotely trigger the shutter of my Sony a6000 (don't forget to turn the "remote control" option to "on" in the suitcase menu!).It only works from the front of the camera but has a 2s delay button so you have plenty of time to whip your hand out of the way if you're standing behind the camera.Build quality is actually good. It's plastic, but what do you expect? It's also well put together.I've ordered another one as backup in case I lose it - and will still have only spent 6-7% of the price of the official Sony version.

Just Buy It!
Wireless IR Infrared Remote for Sony Cameras.Perfect for shooting pictures without being behind the camera. Saves the hassle of setting a timer, waiting for the countdown, and holding your smile until the camera finally shoots! I paid £1.99 for mine (might have been a postage charge too - can't remember) and it's still going strong (with the same battery) nearly a year later - I don't think I could even buy a replacement battery for £1.99!

Does the job
An item I will only use occasionally but does the job at a price

Cheap, does the job, think disposable
Cheap and cheerful. For the money compared to the Sony abortion of a remote, its fine. I have 3 of them as they dont seem to last long and replacing the battery is nigh impossible, so when the battery runs out I just bin them.

Does the job
At this price you cant go wrong. It just operates the shutter (does not start / stop video)Needs the camera to be configured to see it, for NEX6 ; (Drive Mode) on the control wheel t [Remote Cdr.].Or, MENU t [Camera] t [Drive Mode] t [Remote Cdr.].

It's really cheap (obviously not the official) and worked well for me.All I had to do it change my camera's setting to the remote and boom it works. My only gripe is that occasionally when I press the button the camera doesn't go off however I think that would happen to any infrared remote when you're far away.
