Snark SN5X Guitar Bass and Violin Clip On Tuner - Black

Luckily for me, the posh tuner I wanted (4xthe price) was sold out everywhere. This one is excellent, easy to use and easy to see. It's ideal for rehearsals and gigs. The downside is the obvious fragility of the ball joints on each end of the arm... just don't sit on it or anything. I clip it on the carry handle of my amp when not in use so it doesn't get lost or trodden on. Is it accurate... I haven't tested it, but if it sounds ok to me it will sound ok to the drunken punter at the bar.

This is really good for tuning a violin. It can clip onto the far end of the peg box and is adjustable enough to swivel it around to be visible. It shows you the nearest note and whether you are sharp or flat.... however it doesnt show which octave you're in - using a phone app that displays the frequency is vital to reach the right sort of range before using this meter. It also shows what notes you're getting when bowing and is a good way to see whether the instrument has untuned itself yet again. A quick twiddle with pegs or fine tuners will get it back to showing the correct note. It can also help with left hand finger placement which seems to be a bit of a mysterious dark art.... Brilliant device!

Well, with 40,700 reviews why wouldn't you buy this tuner. I don't know what I can add but it's simple to use, just an on/off button it's fast and accurate. My old tuner had that matt plastic finish that gets sticky and feels awful after a while, must be sweat affecting this finish. The other Snark models have this finish and there are complaints about it. The SN-5X is the only model with this black gloss finish. Also, this model is a Chromatic tuner, which means it will tune almost all stringed instruments, not just guitar, bass and violin as it says. Shown here on my Ukelele and working well, the SN-6X for a Ukelele is just a money grabber, you don't need it !!!

The Snark guitar item is always my main go to fir tonight the guitar, because of its size, flexibility, and reliability. It is simple to use and if your hearing is slightly out, you can rely in this item to finely tune your guitar. Like any small gadget, storage during and after use is very important, as it can get damaged (particularly the rotating head or the clamping). But despite this, it is a well both gadget to have. It's use etc outweighs everything. It is a definite buy for me and I always have one in my guitar bag, whatever the price.

Fits headstock well, bright and easy to use. Seems accurate. Much better than D'Addarrio I'm replacing that has a dull display and has its switch too close to the guitar head. The Snark has a longer reach and better switch. Not too expensive either.

I’ve bought three of these now, though slightly different models. Excellent tuner, can be used for a bass guitar as well - I used one on a Hofner Violin Bass - some other makes of tuners don’t. Recommended.

Absolutely adore this tuner. I know they've been around a while but these are the bomb So so easy to use. The digital facia is spot on and clear as a bell. Some other tuners I've bought are not as vivid and clear. Can't fault the snark

Muy bueno, práctico y fácil de usar. La pantalla se ve muy bien y clara, quizá no se vea de un material muy fuerte pero es resistente y muy bien realizado. Respecto a la precisión también es muy bueno, lo comparé con el de mi hx stomp y me convenció mucho.

Ich mache es kurz: Kein Schnick und Schnack dran, tolles, kontrastreiches Display. Läßt sich gut anklemmen und in alle Richtungen bewegen. Für mich perfekt und klare Empfehlung. Ist nach dem Auspacken etwas glatt/schlüpfrig (dort wo man die Klemme bewegt) und flutscht einem leicht aus den Fingern. Dies legt sich jedoch im Laufe der Zeit.

この手のクリップチューナ―は色々使いましたが、ベースギターの低音源（４弦、５弦）に反応が悪いものが多いですが、このＳＮ－５Ｘは良くて、気に入り前の型式から使っています。お友達のベーシスト数名に勧めて皆好評です（当然ギターにも良いです）。前の型式を５年位使いましたが性能の経時劣化はありません（他の型式だと回転部分が甘くなるせいか反応が少しずつ悪くなります）。今回予備で又買いました。反応感度も丁度良く使いやすいです。視認性は最高。もう一つ利点を言うと、シンプルで使いやすいです（私の場合Ａ＝４４０ｈｚ固定で何ら問題はありません）。こんな良いものが千円半ばで買える良い時代です。バッテリーの消費は多いようですが毎日使っても３カ月位は持ちます。
