BRILLIANT (in every way!)
Great torch, seems very well made, sturdy and a good weight for a small torch, dimensions as advertised are accurate; 135mm long & 28mm diameter. It is SUPER bright for a small torch + 3 functions; high, dim and flash - the flash is actually a sort of strobe and is mega intense - don't point this at epileptics (nope not joking or making light of that condition !), may use this as a bike light as it could illuminate an airport runway ! The flash/strobe couldn't be missed by any car/van driver, it really is mega. It may be a bit big to be held in place by the silicone wrap-around bands you can buy for this purpose (mine haven't been delivered yet). It also has a really solid 'push/pull' beam focus. I love this torch, great design, nice style and machining, great in the hand and all round quality. 5 out of 5 and highly recommended.

Gives a very good amount of light.
The strength, solidity and range of the light beam are excellent. Goodbye to years of nicely tiny handbag torches but which barely light a footstep; at first this feels a tad big and heavy for a small handbag but is more reassuring to have. Handy in a power cut (recently tested). Also, the strength and range of the beam is great for lighting the way on leaving a building at night when one's night vision hasn't yet kicked in.Can use rechargeable batteries so it's low on maintenance. And it's good value at just under a tenner.

Does not last long
Bright but you are not going to get the claimed amount of hours even with 18650. Tried Nitecore and Xtar 18650 batteries when walking the dog. half hour walks 4 times ( 2 hours ) the batteries are at 3.3v from full. no idea what you will get with triple a. My convoy at lower amp draw are brighter.

The best budget torch I've ever owned
The best budget torch I've ever owned, feels very well put together, has 3 modes (high, low, strobe) without any SOS beacon nonsense nobody uses anyway. Most importantly, unlike many cheap chinese torches, it starts in high power mode when switched on.
