Very powerful. A bit hard to push as the suction is quite strong

Excellent suction, small compact with tools on board and easy to store. However disappointing length of power cable which requires plugging in to each room 😩 ! Other issue found is the length of the hoover head pole .. having to bend when cleaning … I’m 5/7 ! Aching back !!!

The media could not be loaded. This vacuum cleaner arrived in a sturdy, branded cardboard box.The cleaner has a hose with a telescopic metal tube that locks by way of ridges in the lower tube (see picture). Fitted to this is the floor cleaning head that can be used on hard floors or carpet with the flip-out stiff brushes extended (see picture). There are two small slots on the machine so the tube and carpet head can be slotted into it for storage both in the upright and horizontal positions (see picture).Inside a cover on the machine itself are a crevice/brush tool and an upholstery tool. The brush on the crevice tool rotates out for use. Another cover reveals the bag that is easily replaced but no spares are supplied with the machine. A third cover unclips to reveal the pull out HEPA filter (see picture).The 15m power cable pulls out and locks easily and with a simple press of the button the whole cable retracts automatically back into the machine (see video). There is a red indicator (below the logo on the front) that comes into view when the bag is full.The (variable) suction power is excellent. I actually got this machine to use in our cars and it is absolutely brilliant for that task especially because it is so light, manoeuvrable and stable when horizontal. However, if you’re looking for something to do carpets then you’re better off with a traditional upright. The carpet head on this is really difficult to move across carpet and the lack of rotating brushes that you get in an upright means it doesn’t clean as well.So why only two stars? The machine I got came on as soon as I plugged it in. No amount of pressing the power button would turn it off. I have a lot of experience repairing domestic appliances, so instead of returning it I decided to strip it down and find the cause of the problem. The rubber seal around the HEPA filter housing was fouling the switch so that it couldn’t move as it should. It was a simple fix but has left me doubting Dirt Devil’s quality control and gives me reservations about the general build quality of this machine.As I said, this machine is perfectly suited to what I wanted it for (auto interior cleaning) but it doesn’t come close to a traditional upright for carpet cleaning. This, the absence of even one spare bag and the fact I had to repair it on arrival mean I’m only giving it two stars.

Excellent powerful small vacuum cleaner

This machine is very lightweight and easy to manoeuvre around the house. Suction is brilliant especially as the motor is only 700 watts. Be careful of the cable re-wind as it’s very strong.The only but…. Is I had trouble sourcing replacement bags for it. Online company Espares was the only place I could get them.

Small and compact, this little vac packs a lot of punch.It's quiet when working and lightweight, being made almost entirely from plastic. Easy to put together and really gets the job done.We don't have any pets but autumn leaves are in abundance at the moment and tread into the lobby very readily. Dirt Devil made short work of them.All the attachments are 'on board' neatly stored in their own compartment. There's one for pet hair and a handy crevice tool. The main floor tool can do hard floors or carpet at the flick of a switch. The metal tube that goes with the floor tool is telescopic so you can adjust the length to suit the task in hand.The power cable is 15m long which means you don't have to unplug and move to another socket so often and the automatic cord rewind is just great.I used the pet hair tool on the stairs which was good as it's a lot smaller than the floor tool, so much easier to manoeuvre.Hepa filter is good for dust filtering, especially for people with allergies and there's a light to tell you when the dust bag is full.I have three little gripes:1 the hose is plastic and is not so easy to control.2 I have not been able to find any replacement dust bags but that my be because the model is new and they haven't arrived on Amazon yet.3 At the end of housework yesterday, I wanted to put the vac in the cupboard but found it was taking up too much space. I tried to take the hose out from the machine but struggled for quite a while until I got the 'knack' of how to squeeze the release button on the hose and pull at the same time.I have not deducted any points for these little gripes as they are fairly minor.So, Dirt Devil ticks all the boxes for me.
