This lead is brilliant, I would highly recommend! It's really sturdy, I have a 30kg dog who pulls on the lead and this has been great. I find this more comfortable to hold than other brands, it feels safe and unlikely to be pulled from my grip. The neon yellow line has been chew resistant and allows the line to be seen easily. The material of the handle is rubber and the locking mechanism is robust and hasn't slipped like other brands do. If your looking for a new easy to use and reliable lead I would highly recommend!!

Great lead. Despite many people thinking retractable leads are the work of the devil, my opinion is they are great if used sensibly. Gives the dog a good amount of freedom of movement, but you still have some control over them. I would only use this lead in relatively quiet open spaces, not for walking in the street. Tape is better than a thin cord. Less chance of friction burns. I always use a safety wrist strap with this lead, so that if the lead was suddenly yanked out of your hand (if dog chases squirrel for instance), you do not drop the lead and lose control of the dog. This lead is robust, and does the job well. Also I use a couple of bungee extensions in addition to the Flexi lead. they are much better to grab if you need close control of the dog. Grabbing the tape itself should be avoided. In an ideal world dogs would not be on leads, but we don't live in in an ideal world. For me this lead is as good as you are going to get in terms of a compromise between freedom and control. I like the neon colour of the tape as it can be seen from some distance by other dog walkers.

After 30yrs of looking after Labradors who walk steadily alongside you after their 22 hr daily snooze, so you can imagine the contrast we faced when taking on a Cocker X Spaniel. Full of life, never seems to be still, zig zags across you when out walking, and probably just out right bonkers. So after struggling with a standard lead we opted for an extendable lead. We’ve had Flexi Leads before and appreciated their value for money, quality and strength, so the 8m medium Giant Flexi was our choice. It really is 8m, has a good spring recoil and made with the colour fluorescent webbing…However 2 things let it down! The stop button can be tricky to apply and the dog clasp is too small and fiddly when trying to attach to the harness, especially when you have a wriggling dog. Apart from that it does the job.

Still going stong after 4 years! Very happy with this lead. Very easy to use, the lock works great too and the length is brilliant for walks where you dont want to let your dog off. Just make sure you dry it after a walk in the rain otherwise it starts to stink!

Recently purchased its a good strong built lead its got a excellent break system on it & a lock on the trigger it doesn’t jam at all, i was worried it was going to be uncomfortable & heavy in the hand but its great.. got to keep my eye on the puppy because they all like to chew, the tape feels strong but its neon yellow and i do wipe it down if he’s accidentally rolled over near mud its not chew resistance thou! Its all made well.

Strong, reliable and perfect for giving a large dog more freedom I bought the Flexi Giant L 8m lead for my Cane Corso cross Staffy, Blue, as I wanted to give him more freedom to explore while still maintaining control during walks and training sessions. The first thing that stands out is how robust it feels. I’ve used retractable leads before, but many of them felt flimsy when attached to a larger, stronger dog. This one feels exceptionally well made, with a sturdy handle, strong tape lead and a reliable braking system that inspires confidence. The 8-metre length is fantastic for open spaces, allowing Blue to sniff, explore and enjoy a bit more freedom while remaining safely attached. It’s been particularly useful for recall practice and decompression walks where I want him to have more room to move without being completely off lead. The brake and lock mechanisms are easy to operate one-handed and respond quickly when needed. Even with a powerful dog, I feel in control at all times. The bright neon yellow tape is another thoughtful feature as it’s highly visible, especially during darker mornings and evenings. Despite its heavy-duty design, the handle remains comfortable to hold on longer walks. It is larger than standard retractable leads, but that’s exactly what you’d expect from a lead designed for bigger dogs. If you have a larger dog and want a retractable lead that feels genuinely built for the job, this Flexi Giant is well worth the investment.

Have purchased many dog leads over the past few years - none have lasted long. Either too uncomfortable to grip, doesn't retract properly or tape knots and breaks. This lead is FANTASTIC. Great comfort, easy to operate and 'miles' of leash. Wish I had discovered it earlier.

A simple vista y primeras sensaciones es un producto de muy buena calidad, robusto y resistente. Tengo 2 Malinois, que son un manojo de energía estos perros, con mucha fuerza y la correa aguanta sin ningún problema sus tirones. Buscaba una correa así dado que no cualquier correa hecha en china iba a durar con perros de estas características, esta es hecha en Alemania. Y esta correa tiene pinta de que me va a durar mucho tiempo, y los perros son súper felices ahora que tienen más soltura para sprintar un poco sin que yo pierda el control de ellos, ya que antes llevaba una correa de metro y medio. La recomiendo 100% si la necesitas para perro grande. Es un poco pesada, pero al rato ya no te enteras, y es muy lógico su peso dado lo robusta que es. La cinta verde fosforito es un detalle, no es reflectante pero canta ya por si sola con ese color.. el sistema de bloqueo tambie es muy cómodo de usar y por el tacto se nota que se bloquea por un sistema de dientes grandes, no pequeños que puedan romperse fácilmente. Lo dicho, el precio que tiene vale la pena pagarlo cuándo ves el producto. Ahora sólo queda ver la durabilidad.
