So far, it works as intended and it is crazy sharp. I bought it after seeing a pic of a Dreamfarm Sharple owner showing off her battle wounds. Treat this as you would a sharp knife and do not let young children handle this kitchen tool. I rinse this off after every use and air dry it with the cover open. It does an excellent job peeling vegetables.

This is the best peeler I have ever used. I've had it about a year and it has remained insanely sharp (like I don't let my youngest child use it sharp), the blade appears to have a lot of life left in it despite the constant sharpening, and nothing in the housing or blade cover appears to be loose or wearing out. It will peel anything quickly and easily, including raw winter squash that have defeated many a lesser peeler. I'm accustomed to replacing peelers pretty regularly because they get dull so quickly, but it doesn't seem that will be an issue. I expect it will wear out once the sharpening mechanism simply takes off too much of the blades.

The self sharpening aspect of this peeler is great! It really does keep the blade Sharp. It's a very good product.

This vegetable peeler is a small object but it performs very well. I like the fact that the blade is protected by a cover when not in use & the case helps retain its sharpness. Would recommend.

This works just as advertised. Very sharp peeler that I used both peeling towards and away with equal success. Easy to clean and you can hear it sharpening the blade when you close it. I also like the fact it is closed until I open it so less chance of my cutting myself on it in the drawer.

Sharp and easy to use. Makes quick work of potato as well as apple peels. Downside.. it traps water inside when washed.

I love this!! It is so sharp and sharpens every time you close it to keep it sharp. Also the cover keeps you from cutting yourself when you are rummaging around in the drawer

I love the automatic sharpening feature. It's a comfortable peeler to hold, and works in both left and right hands equally.

Totally brilliant peeler, self sharpening, peels with ease
