So easy to use and it produces excellent, consistent results. The built in storage is a god send for convenience. Very sharp blades and easy to clean. Highly recommended.

I really like this chopper and get a real sense of achievement when I use it as it is quick and easy to use. It took a few tries to get best results and it makes quite a difference which way you put the veg on the grid. I find fleshy side down for tomatoes and peppers works best. The size of the grid does limit what you can do with it at any one time and the veg will still be chunky not finely cut. which is fine for a salad but maybe not in some recipes. You do need a fair bit of strength to push the lid down for onions etc. I also find it difficult to take it all apart for washing but this may loosen off a bit over time. I think the purple inset is really clever as it makes cleaning the top half very easy. It is definitely worth the money.

After buying, and failing, with a couple of other cheaper versions I finally found a chopper which works easily, efficiently and is dishwasher proof!

I bought this as it has a small footprint and I was looking for a replacement for the nicer dicer. I get flares in my hands and wrists that sometimes make chopping difficult. This oxo chopper is very difficult to use. The chopping blade is ok. It requires more force than the nicer dicer. Getting chopped food out of it is very difficult. You have to squeeze at an awkward angle to open it. It’s fiddly to re assemble. You can tip out what you’ve chopped if you need to do large quantities, but overall, not a timesaver, hard to use, only does a large dice. Disappointing.

I've previously owned the JML and off-brand versions of this type of chopper. While the JML one was good, I am a big fan of OXO products owing to my arthritis. It really shows that people like me have been kept in mind in the design of their products. (As a sidenote, the offbrand cheapy one I got broke very quickly!) While I can see that some may prefer the multiple brade choice of JML, I would recommend the OXO one over it, for several reasons. Firstly, while there only being one blade size, this does mean less removable parts. This, in my opinion, reduces the chance for breakage or loss. Additionally, this chopper has a grippy pad on the top, which allows for easier operation. I also like the way in which the back of the tub part has an opening so the chopped produce can be poured straight into the pan or bowl you're working with. The rubber insert into the inside of the "lid" is also helpful in cleaning. It's not perfect, but I am very happy with it. I'd say the possible flaws would be that singular chopping size (for some that could be a deal breaker), and the fact that some produce doesn't get quite as clean a cut as others. That being said, I personally love it and find it really helps in food prep.

There was apparently a split in the plastic top which allowed the rubber of the soft press top to seep through to the underside, potentially contaminating the food and increasing the risk that the top would break under pressure when using. Easy return to Amazon with quick replacement. Second had same problem, so it went back too. Must be a design or manufacturing fault, so much for Oxo's quality control. Disappointing. Now looking for a different brand.

Der Gemüseschneider ist super. Er spart mir unglaublich viel Zeit beim zubereiten von Salten. Bisher habe ich damit Gurken, Paprika, Kohlrabi und Möhren geschnitten. Das hat alles problemlos funktioniert. Einfach schnell Scheiben mit dem Messer schneiden und dann in den Schneider legen und zudrücken. Ruckzuck hat man dann gleichmäßig geschnittene Würfel für den Salat. Gurken kann man 2 Scheiben auf einmal reinlegen. Paprika und Kohlrabi nur eine Scheibe. Die Möhre habe ich in der Mitte geteilt und in der Länge halbiert. Klappte bei mir so alles gut. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Ausleeröffnung. Da kann man einfach die gewürfelten Stücke in die Salatschüssel schütten, ohne erst alles auseinander zu bauen und kann sofort weiter würfeln. Die Reinigung gelingt problemlos und schnell. Vorsicht nur beim reinigen des Schneidegitters, dass ist natürlich scharf.

It is very well made but it cuts pieces into rather large chunks. I thought it would be much finer...

Excellent chopper with features you didn't know you needed. We use the chopper for preparing dog training treats out of Prime 100 rolls. We've tried a few choppers, before finally finding the perfect one. The opening for easy pouring is convenient, especially if chopping in bulk. The included pull-out plastic grid makes it unbelievably easy to clean. I highly recommend this product.
