Targus USB 3.0 Super Speed Dual Video Docking Station for PC/Mac/Windows (ACP70EU)

Fantastic item! Works really well and was easy to set up. Eliminates the need to plug / unplug multiple cables to your laptop or tablet. I use this item with my 7" windows 8.1 tablet and it basically changes it into a desktop PC with connectivity to a mouse, monitor and printer...by just connecting one USB cable!

It works very well and I don't have any issue with the installation. Very fast delivery and great ratio quality/price. However, it can also bring a dvi to hdmi adapter.

The video and network do not work at all on Windows 8. The usb hub is ok, but 90 pounds for a hub is too much for me. I return it

Whilst this is a nice idea, I found this to be awkward to set up, results varied with different devices and overall I wondered if it saved any space/time compared to chucking a couple of cables and adapters in my bag anyway. The unit itself is well built and feels durable when you first take it out of the packaging. However, you'll immediately notice that there are no instructions packaged within. My first port of call was the manufacturer's web site, to download up to date drivers - so much for plug and play. Another gripe was that my older Android tablet, running Gingerbread was incompatible, so if you're hoping that you can just turn up in an office and connect into a wide range of devices, make sure that they're all reasonably recent ones. That aside, once set up and working, this works well enough as a dock between multiple inputs/outputs but it hasn't proven to be the life saver or the time saver that I hoped it would be.

I bought this to let me share my new Windows 8 laptop across two fairly large DVI monitors that I already owned, rather than having to work on a laptop and single screen of different sizes. It arrived in a very battered package, so I was somewhat nervous about whether it would work. Eventually, though, I got everything plugged in and after some fiddling around and installing updated drivers from the Targus website, I got the setup as I wanted it as the included HDMI-to-DVI adaptor allowed me to use two DVI screens. The only hiccup since then happened when one day it refused to display in its normal setup, but rebooting everything seemed to solve that problem. So this gets 4 out of 5 because it works and has solved the problem I faced when swapping from a desktop with graphics card that could run two monitors to a standard laptop. But I wonder if anyone at the company has done any usability testing, as the setup process could definitely do with an improvement. For this price, I expect that aspect to be better. UPDATE: This failed a month or so after the warranty ran out. After running through the (not-very-clear) instructions sent to me by the manufacturer, I eventually got it to work again. That revised setup lasted about another couple of months and it hasn't worked since. Nothing had changed on my laptop setup so this is down to the docking station. As above, for this price I would expect something better and so I've taken a star off. A great idea in theory but not very good implementation or usability.

This was very cheap on a lightening deal, allows you to connect an additional display, and also acts as a USB hub.. USB compatible, so you can connect many USB devices to your laptop etc, good resolution full HD, and decent refresh rate.. Also has a sound card function..

Great dock! Works flawlessly with my Dell XPS 12 laptop, which lacks of Ethernet and DVI ports and short of USB port. Had to download and install the latest driver from Targus website to make the external monitor work.

Great little addition for mobile working

Lo compré exclusivamente para usar en un Mac y poder usuarlo en un futuro en un equipo con Windows. Al instalarlo en el Mac, al principio parecía que Ok, pero al configurar la pantalla adicional, cada vez que abría la página web de YouTube o cualquier animación flash la pantalla parpadea continuamente (si es un equipo con Windows no pasa). Me puse en contacto con el servicio técnico de Targus y me dijeron que el problema estaba reportado a Apple y que tenía que esperar a próximas actualizaciones a que solucionaran el problema, así que lo devolví. Por cierto, el sistema operativo en el que lo probé era el OSX Mavericks

Ho faticato per trovare la soluzione ideale al mio Laptop che non prevede una docking station. Ho finalmente risolto il problema di dover connettere tutti cavi al PC tutte le volte che mi trovo alla scrivania evitando soprattutto il rischio di rompere i pin del cavo del secondo monitor nella connessione e trovarmi un danno superiore al costo della docking in oggetto. Utilissima per alzare il PC per facilitare lo scambio termico.

Ich habe an meinem neuen Ultrabook nur sehr wenige Anschlüsse für externe Geräte. Genau genommen NUR zwei USB-3-Anschlüsse und einen Mini-HDMI-Port an dem ich mittels eines (nicht vorhandenen) Adapters einen zweiten Monitor anschließen könnte. In den ersten USB-3-Port stöpsele ich nun die neue Dockingstation und alle Wünsche werden wahr: Externer USB-3-BluRay-Brenner, größeres Keyboard, Maus, externe Festplatte, LAN, Lautsprecher, USB-Sat-Receiver; alles auf einmal anschließbar und funktioniert problemlos. Ich kann jetzt noch einen HDMI- und eine VGA-Monitor oder Beamer anschließen, dann sind noch immer ein USB-2- und ein USB-3-Port verfügbar. Das hat richtig Klasse! Außerdem nimmt die Station aufgrund der kompakten Bauweise auch nicht viel Platz auf dem Schreibtisch ein. Bin sehr zufrieden.
