Value for money!
Bought this as a gift for my little grandson. He absolutely adores it. It’s made of plastic so one has to be careful as to not drop it. Plays sounds well. Good first time saxophone for kids.

Awful quality. No sound comes out
This is honestly awful. I wouldn’t have even paid £1 for it. No sound comes out of it. It’s made from awful cheap plastic and horrendous quality.

Ok
For some reason I thought this would be made of metal. Despite the mutliple mentions of silver, I didn't expect that of course, but nor did I expect plastic, though I suppose I should have, given the price (about £13.50 when I got it). It looks nice enough, and being made of plastic means it's a good weight for small ones (it's a present for a two year old to annoy her parents with), but I'm slightly disappointed that it's not metal. As another reviewer mentioned, you do have to work to get sound out of it, which is good (except if you want to annoy your parents!). A long time ago I learned to play most woodwinds, and this is like none of them. You have to depress a key to get a sound, and if you press two (or more) multiple notes sound, which makes me think the reeds are located in the key holes (it's not in the mouthpiece). It's rather neat, actually. The only major complaint I have is that you can't play a (major) scale on it. There are 8 notes (starting on A440, I think, but I don't have a tuner to be sure), but they're not quite spaced on a major scale, and there is no octave. So that's a problem, or at least a major annoyance to people who play/know scales.I wouldn't say this is a good toy for teaching music, but maybe getting a child interested in playing something enough to pick up a real instrument. Still, in my case, it's for a 2 year old, so as long as she can annoy her parents with it, it's good enough for me!

It's just a toy or could we use as just a little souvenir item but not for playing really
It's a toy but I really did so expected before I bought it but you know really keep it because even4for a child I'm not sure they could learn much and the it is a bit hard to get a sound out I
