Excellent value for money
Good set of brush for beginners to experienced watercolour artist. Each brush is light weight-almost weightless really, and the round brushes holds a lot of water almost like a sable and holds its point which is brilliant for lining. The weight of the brush is down to preference but for the price I paid, it is real value for money! I can see it being my go to brush and perhaps will be a set to take when traveling as you wouldn’t have to worry about potentially ruining the bristles unlike more expensive brushes. I included a painting I made using mainly the 3 brush sizes included in the set.

Good quality for price
These are good quality for the price, came quickly and are very suitable for a beginner to start with. The brushes seem to retain their shape and do not shed

The exception to the rule....
We all know that ' you get what you pay for', especially when it comes to the quality of an item. These however, are the exception to that rule. I have paid considerably more for brushes that are truly terrible, these are far from terrible.I actually bought them thinking I would maybe use them infrequently and to chuck in a brush roll for taking out and about.Played around with them when they arrived today and was very pleasantly surprised! One brush had a single bristle that was annoyingly longer than all of the others, no big deal. I just trimmed it off and began testing with lines and shapes. The first thing I noticed was how much water the round brushes hold. I had deliberately really tried to pick up a lot of water, I assumed synthetic fibres would not hold as well as natural. These performed so well in that regard that I found myself having to lift off some water. The flat brushes did not hold so well, but they are considerably thinner. They were not great for using as a wash, but using the edges did produce very clean lines. The brushes held their shape and the round brushes held their point beautifully. The other thing, very important, is these brush sizes are accurate. If it says size 1, it's a size 1....not a 1 (ish).I'm going to use these much more than I anticipated. Cant believe how good they are in this price bracket. I think I'll buy another set just to have spare.

Paint brushes
Bought for a pastime introduced at a workshop. Nice tidy size for water colouring. Not too expensive for a hobby under review……

Lovely, even if a little small.
These brushes are decent for the price that you’re paying for them.Unlike some other brushes at the same price range, these brushes haven’t shed for me upon the first use, and the synthetic hairs feel silky. They maintain their shape pretty well - they snap back into their shape pretty well, so if you’re looking for a softer brush (like Japanese brushes), these aren’t for you.The downsides of them are as I was expecting. They do feel cheap to hold, because the handle is made of a matte grey plastic. That’s not to say they aren’t sturdy; the plastic is strong and doesn’t bend. They just don’t feel as nice as a wooden handle, or some of the slightly more expensive brushes is own.Lastly, the sizes are quite small. These are ideal for detailing or smaller paintings, but these would not be your go to for anything A4 or bigger. I was expecting this because of the price. All in all, if you pair these with another set of larger brushes, these make an excellent, cheap set for beginners that won’t fall apart immediately. Just don’t expect them to feel luxurious.
