The Zelite Infinity Santoku Knife arrived exactly like the seller said it would on the date specified on purchase. The first thing that strikes you is the Uber cool and quality box that the knife is packaged in. This gives a great first impression and once you get the knife in your hand you realise that no attention to detail has been spared to ensure that there is extremely high quality throughout the product.The knife itself feels very comfortable in the hand with a very good weight distribution and whilst only using it for a short time the grip is very comfortable and I would imagine that prolonged use wouldn't cause any issues to the hand.One thing to be wary of is that the blade is extremely sharp so take care as I found out when I nicked my hand on the back part of the blade, totally careless by me and a lesson learned!! However hand aside this is exactly what I was looking for in this knife. My previous knifes were always an effort to use due to the blade never having been really as sharp as one would expect even after sharpening. No such problems with the Zelite knife, fantastic edge retention and as sharp as it should be.Using the knife was a dream, it cut up the steaks I was preparing effortlessly with little sawing action needed to get through the meat. It also glided through the tougher vegetables such as carrots with ease. It really is an all rounder.Overall a fantastic addition to my kitchen and I can't recommend this product highly enough.Well done Zelite and producing a high quality and Uber cool product.

Excellent knife, I took a chance on the sales to order this as I like to hold a knife and get a feel for it before buying. I also prefer a heavier item, so I took a gamble on this knife. First off it came in a very nice box, well presented and a pleasure to open. Secondly although just a little light, not a deal breaker, I have a similar Sabatier knife that's a little shorter but slightly heavier but having used this one its by no means a deal breaker. Thirdly its sharp, this is a knife you don't want to find accidentally at the bottom of a bowl of soapy water by accident, its actually a pleasure to cut with, easy and accurate but a very very sharp edge. Fourthly are you still reading, the curved edge allows a good rocking motion for fine chopping. Really I can't tell you just how good a quality an item this knife is, well balanced, comfortable, sharp, strong and very easy to use,

I can't think of anything critical to say about this knife at all. Very finely made and solid, it feels bullet-proof and practically indestructible. It has real heft, at a chunky 254 grams, but the handle is very comfortable and the balance is perfect. Excellent sharpness, of course, as you would expect. Beautifully finished, and sharp right from tip to heel.At the price, this has to be one of the best value options out there, ideal for someone who wants to experiment with a Santoku, perhaps as an alternative to the more rounded western chef's knife. It suits itself very well to the more "straight down" traditional Asian chopping style.Just one problem remains -how are you supposed to pronounce Zelite? Is it "Zee-light" or "Zell-light" or "Zay-leet"?I think we should be told...Meantime I'm just calling it 'the beast' :)

Well what can I say that the other, (many professional and eloquent), reviewers have not already written?I bought the Japanese steel chef's knife (£112), and this more budget german steel Santoku version - so this one has become my every day weapon of choice in the kitchen.My previous knives are fine and include Kuhn, Victorinox and Richardson. This Zelite knife is another order of magnitude above all those and has really made food prep so much more enjoyable. It feels substantial and reeks quality. It looks beautiful and really stands out from my existing knives quite remarkably. It is just like comparing a Nissan Quashkai with a Range Rover - that is no exaggeration. The blade is sharp but I find the weighting and balance of the knife to be slightly more important. All my knives can be razor sharp, but this one has a placement to it and a surety of footing such that I can get almost absolute control of the cut with no problem.Received follow up emails from Zelite giving me their contact details to ensure my satisfaction. Very impressed with concern for the customer, the absolute quality of the knife and the purchase overall.

Absolutely thrilled with this knife, I have been looking at it for a while and considering it but I'm so glad I finally decided to get it. I am quite a keen cook and really wanted a high quality all purpose knife and this has not disappointed. The first thing you notice is the premium and stylish packaging it comes in which reflects the quality of the knife itself. The red velvety interior looks great when you open it up and I'd be quite happy to store the knife in here (I might need to as it's so sharp!). The knife itself feels great - there's a nice heft to it which suits me fine as I like a weighty handle and allows for smoother use. The blade is gorgeous, I've never had a santoku knife but at 7 inches and the way it is shaped I can see myself having no problem cutting through anything. I tried it out as soon as I received it and it just glided through anything I threw at it, and it just looks extremely sleek and sturdy. If it is well looked after I am confident it will be the centerpiece of of my cooking equipment for life.For anyone else looking to buy this I would say don't wait and get it when it is at such great price at the moment (although it is worth much more as well!)
