Best decaff tea I've tried....so far
After having to give up coffee I resorted to enjoying my tea, Assam, Ceylon, Breakfast and trying several different brands. Having been advised to avoid caffeine as a precaution against heart palpitations I tried decaffeinated tea. I think I've gone through seven other different brands which ranged from undrinkable to passable to reasonable. I was lucky enough to bump into this one trawling through Amazon and, although it's not cheap, thought it worth a try as Clipper have a good reputation. I'm glad I did as, although it's not quite up there with the normal varieties, it is by far the closest I have come across and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone to try as an alternative. Some of the other brands were liking drinking something that had been made using old leather but this one actually tastes like a decent cuppa! It's quite strong and as an alternative, lighter, flavoured decaff tea I would recommend Taylor's breakfast tea. Now all I have to do is find a decent decaff loose tea...!

Decaffeinated without chemicals (uses co'2) and tastes amazing
This is one of very few teas that are decaffeinated using co'2 instead of chemicals. I love a nice flavoursome brew and this ticks the boxes. As good as all high quality caffeinated teas....IF you brew it slightly longer you get a lovely strong cuppa, full of flavour. Well Done Clipper. You

Best tea
I just love this tea. Organic and decaf with unbleached tea bags, perfect. Love the taste. It's my favourite tea.

Takes a little longer to brew
The tea tastes as good as regular tea but it takes longer to brew. Make sure you add the water first and leave it for a while or you will struggle. They are definitely weaker than the regular clipper tea. If I could find another ethical, decaf tea bag, I would give it a try.

Decaff tea at it's best
A great cup of tea. I had been using a well known brand of decaff tea but to make a really strong cup you had to leave the bag in but then that made the tea bitter - this is not the case with this brand. I make the tea and leave the bag in with no problem for a really, nice strong tea. Highly recommend it although I can only buy if it stays at this current price (or lower) which is £4.63 on Subscribe and Save. Originally it was priced at £2.87 (December 2014) so it's quite an increase for Feb but I'm happy as long as it doesn't go over £5 per 80 bags.

excellent service
i chose this rating because i've been buying this product for several years & love it! i like this product because it meets all the requirements i expect - good flavour, organic, decaffinated, & unbleached teabags. all qualities that mean one is consuming only healthy, environmentally friendly & in this case it's also fairtrade - an added & very important bonus. i would recommend it to anyone who wants to be sure they are not consuming anything grown or processed using unfriendly chemicals.

Very tasty decaff tea
Love this tea, really good taste (though not the same as Clipper's regular teas, I find the decaff has a unique taste which I have grown to love and often choose this over a regular tea now purely for the taste). I find it needs a minimum of 5 minutes brewing otherwise it has a very bland taste. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.

A classic black tea, plus it's decaf!
I have been looking for more decaffeinated black teas for when I want a cup of black tea in the evening/night, and decided to try this Clipper everyday tea as it's great value for money. The taste is a solid 7/10, though not as strong and to my taste as some other black teas. I will keep looking for the right decaffeinated black tea for me, though this was great and I have every intention of finishing the whole box myself!

I recently tried the Clipper Organic Decaf Black Tea, and I must say, it’s a game-changer in the world of decaffeinated teas. This tea offers a rich and robust flavor that is rare in decaf options. The organic Assam black tea blend is smooth and aromatic, providing a full-bodied experience without any bitter aftertaste. It’s the perfect choice for those who love the taste of tea but want to avoid the jitters associated with caffeine. The natural decaffeination process used for this tea is particularly impressive. Using carbon dioxide, the same compound we exhale, Clipper has managed to create one of the best-tasting organic decaf teas on the market. This chemical-free method maintains the integrity and flavor of the tea, which is often lost in other decaffeination processes. Brewing this tea is a delightful experience. The recommendation to use freshly boiled water and steep for 3-5 minutes works perfectly, resulting in a cup of tea that is both soothing and satisfying. Whether enjoyed plain or with a touch of milk and sweetener, it’s a wonderful alternative to coffee. The commitment of Clipper to being eco-conscious and ethical adds to the appeal of this tea. The plant-based, plastic-free, and fully biodegradable teabags are a testament to their dedication to sustainability and the environment. Plus, being a certified B-Corp company, their focus on fair trade practices makes each sip feel even more rewarding. In conclusion, Clipper’s Organic Decaf Black Tea is not just a beverage; it’s an experience. It’s a blend that satisfies the palate, respects the environment, and supports ethical practices. For anyone seeking a delicious, guilt-free cup of decaf tea, this is an excellent choice.

I love this tea! I drink probably 3-4 cups a day, one of the perks of decaf. I've given up caffeine but my love for the taste and ritual of coffee and tea has remained. From what I've heard tea is an especially important consumable to get organic, partially because you're steeping nasty pesticides along with the tea itself in your hot water. Now, who knows how much of this we can actually control but I've decided to stick to trying for decaf AND organic which ended up being slightly more difficult to find, which is one reason I love this particular product so much. Now, my taste preference for tea is robust, like a builders brew. I actually tend to dislike fancier, lighter-bodied teas because I find them a bit too mild and I like my tea strong with milk and honey. A perk of this preference is that this type of tea tends to be cheaper (fine by me) which may contribute to the decent price point on this product. So, for those tea snobs out there, this may not be the right tea for you if you like a more subtle flavor (no judgment, my taste in coffee is, unfortunately, much pricier). Don't get me wrong, I think this particular tea is not only robust but has some lovely notes to it, which lend themselves particularly well to a good local honey. I think it's super yummy. Anyway, TLDR: Great tasting tea, nothing fancy (it's a finer, almost powdery leaf) but perfect if you like a robust, strong brew. Bonus points for being organic and unbleached.

Because of issues with caffeine, i have had a lot of decaf teas in my life - and they are all terrible. Tea is a wonderful delicate drink that warms you up from the inside out. Most decaf tea I have found tastes like hot leaf juice, with a vague and watery aftertaste and a shadow of its former self. This decaf, however, has some of the robustness of its caffeinated predecessor, and is well worth the money. As a reference, I find typhoo decaf to also be acceptable.
