My kid love's is a toy violin. Helps with the idea of how to hold a real violin. It truly gives them a feel of what a real violin would be like. The knobs turned and the violin bow has a realistic view. The music plays some music to the movement of the bow. Size is true to kids. Perfect age range 3 and up. It's plastic so won't break easily.

My two year old son saw a quartet at a function and was mesmerized. I grew up playing the viola, so I got mine out and played for him, and he wanted to play so badly. I purchases this for his birthday in November, and it’s still his favorite gift 3 months later. I was concerned that it would be bad quality from some reviews I read, but it is definitely worth the month! I am quite impressed by how well it was designed. It functions like a real violin in the way your child can actually play back and forth with the bow to “play” a song. It is about a foot long and fits my 2 year old well. It is made from plastic and we have been very pleased with the build quality. Great value for your money if your looking for an unbreakable toy instrument to get your toddler interested in string instruments! My only complaint is that the volume button is in the same area as the other buttons that play music, so it easily gets pressed and is therefore hard to keep at a low volume.

Little one loves cellos and violins, but hates not being able to fully control the sound, hates the volume of the sounds, and complains when anyone turns the toy on. Plays with this toy every day, all day long. Cries for it at mealtimes and bedtimes. Celebrates holding it, and shows it to everyone every 2 minutes (I am not exaggerating, it is literally in constant use and is a constant joy to baby). As of this week, baby likes to teach grownups how to play it, and derives immense joy from watching them play the silent instrument. Dancing ensues. Repeated handing back and forth. Watching YoYo Ma videos on repeat, with admiration and joy. Really, joy is the only word that needs to apply to the experience of this toy. Assuming of course that the batteries are removed and the battery case gets a strip of clear packing tape to hold it closed, because dropping the toy breaks/strips the plastic that the screw goes into, so the cover can't stay on without tape. If this toy gets broken, we will buy another one, and will probably glue the battery case closed rather than bother with the loose screw

Thankfully she loves it. 6 months later and she's still playing with it here and there so I'm happy about that!!! Only thing is she expected it to have fake strings so she can pretend to play. This has no pretend strings but has plastic simulated strings and a rubber section that you use the violin stick to pretend to play. She wasn't too thrilled about that because if you stop "playing" the violin sound also stops, which makes sense, but she personally isn't thrilled about it lol now she just presses the buttons to hear the songs she wants to hear and she uses it more like a guitar now lol overall we definitely got our money's worth. Came ready to go which WE LOVE. No need for batteries or screw drivers THANK YOU!!!! lights up and it's pretty awesome. Definitely love the look it looks real which is why she bought it lol. Prefect size for my 5yr old. 6 months and it's still playing so I'm happy about that! I got value for my money and that's so that matters to me!

DON’T EXPECT A NEW VIOLIN! Our toy arrived dirty and obviously used before. I paid for a NEW toy for my child and received a USED toy. This is unacceptable to repackage a toy with another persons old blue crusty slime goop all over the knob that has clearly been played with and used. Scratches, knicks, missing paint on keys, oily fingerprints and greasy marks were also included in the purchase. This is sad and unfortunate that I have to return such a nice toy right before Christmas. When you’re told it’s new and you pay for new, that’s what it should be, NEW! The playability was not tested and I’m not even sure if the sound quality is good. I also don’t mind used/dirty toys because I thrift shop, too. The point is it’s advertised as new and priced as such.
