The gruesome details surrounding Tupac's third solo offering are enough to give any music fan the willies. Released when Tupac was in jail serving time for a rape conviction and just after his recovery from being shot-up gangland-style at a recording studio, this was his most introspective piece of work to date. The heavy-hearted album opens up with a radio commentary describing the circumstances surrounding his shooting, and then plunges headfirst into Pac's infatuation with death. "So Many Tears", "Death Around the Corner" and "If I Die 2Nite" are all dark, eerily prophetic tunes that lend credence to widespread theories which suggest that Pac anticipated his impending death. The perpetually thugged-out wonder reveals a more benevolent side when it comes to gender and family issues. On "Dear Mama"--a fitting tribute to his mother recorded in the "Keep Ya Head Up" vein--Pac takes listeners into the loving recesses of his heart, while on "Can U Get Away", he echoes similar respectful sentiments to black womynkind. This is probably 'Pac's most progressive issues-oriented release before he signed to Death Row and became a full-blown thug. -- Dalton Higgins Me Against The World - CD No. Disks or Items: 1 Product Type: Music / CD - Genre / General 1 - 1 - Intro - 01:46 1 - 2 - If I Die 2Nite - 03:57 1 - 3 - Me Against The World - 04:41 1 - 4 - So Many Tears - 03:59 1 - 5 - Temptations - 05:00 1 - 6 - Young Niggaz - 04:53 1 - 7 - Heavy In The Game - 04:24 1 - 8 - Lord Knows - 04:32 1 - 9 - Dear Mama - 04:40 1 - 10 - It Aint Easy - 04:54 1 - 11 - Can You Get Away - 05:46 1 - 12 - Old School - 04:41 1 - 13 - Fuck The World - 04:14 1 - 14 - Death Around The Corner - 04:07 1 - 15 - Outlaw - 04:33 Release Date : 31/10/2011 Dimensions: W: 142mm x L: 125mm x H: 10mm Weight: 92g Barcode: 0012414163622 Catalogue No.: 1416362 Review: 5* - Great album Review: excellent - excellent

My favourite album
One the greatest album in the world. Strong, powerful songs that anyone going through tough time in their life can reflect too. A true genius with his inner thoughts & darkness he faces are relatable to his audience who can alsp feel with him till this day. One the saddest album also, being the man he was & not being able to fufill his lifes purpose which was cut short, makes this album even more powerful & potent with hardcore lyrics that no other rappers can ever rap like, or sell records like this.

Tupac's best album
Enjoying getting to know Tupac's music, Rap is my main genre of music but i was born in the early 90's so Tupac was just before my time, i only knew the big hit songs growing up. Today the Rap genre is being ruined by Mumble Rap and after having run out of options buying all the Eminem, 50 Cent and UK Rappers albums that I liked there was nothing else left but to go back in time and Tupac was the obvious choice.

So good to have peak Pac on vinyl!
Very very good reissue. Two flat, quiet vinyl and great sound quality... nothing is missing! Docked one star as the sleeve and packaging is threadbare and basic for what is the 30th anniversary of 2Pacs arguably best album!

Just Superb
What can I say about this album that hasn't already been said.... Regardless though I can still say that it's a superb body of work that's pre Death Row & released while Tupac was incarcerated I think.. All the producers are at the top of their respective games & although the word "classic" is often thrown around a lot, for this record the moniker fits! Stand out tune for me............ "It aint Easy"
