These little sketchbooks are perfect for carrying around in a bag or a pocket but particularly useful for those of us who still like to draw with a pen or pencil and colour with watercolour. Watercolour is still the most convenient medium to carry around. The paper is excellent and supports colour on both sides.

The paper in this small book is wonderful to draw,or write, one. I do a lot of drawing and I thought I'd buy this as a treat as I'd heard Moleskine was quite posh. It was a lot smaller than I thought, so do make sure you check the size as I didn't find the dimensions on the description. But, despite that, it's a good buy. Pocket sized so great for keeping with you for those moments of artistic inspiration

Having heard the many the rave reviews for Moleskine notebooks, I thought I would see what all the fuss was about. Initially I was shocked at the price ranges- fairly expensive for a notebook!? Yet, Amazon offers the best price, a BARGAIN compared with other stores/websites! The paper is sooo smooth! I have no qualms about using it with fineliner and brush pens, it's amazing. BUT, the paper has a sort of coating on that means it repels soluble media and if you go over it too many times it bobbles awfully! I've tried it with watercolours, inks, and even pencils don't have the same intensity, almost waxy :( Obviously I know this is a 'sketchbook' so I didn't expect it to be suitable for watercolours, but it would have been nice for multi-purpose use, especially pencils! Perhaps a sharper mechanical pencil would work better? However, it IS sleek, stylish and you do pay for the quality with details I love the little pocket in the back as well as the ribbon page marker. Nonetheless, it is a great little pocket 'sketchbook' that would be perfect for someone that works exclusively in pens and fineliner!

I LOVE THESE SKETCHBOOKS! its nice to have something this durable and high quality that will fit into a pocket or bag. just received my fourth today, I ordered it on the 6th with super saver delivery so not bad for free delivery. the paper in these sketchbooks is quite smooth and thick and slightly off white. the cover is hard and durable, and the elastic doesn't go long and stretchy like some might. these books are perfect for the little drawings, doodles and notes I take whenever inspiration strikes. they are a high enough quality to keep as something nice afterward as well. perfect for a travel journal if that's how you roll, but mine never seem to get left until the actual holiday.. a word of advice, check whatever pens etc. you will be using in it on the back page first because some might go through the paper a little. but that happens with most sketchbooks anyway. well worth the extra cash for something so satisfying to use and high quality. the pocket in the back is useful to collect tickets, scraps etc.

Absolutely adore this little sketch book! High quality paper and very easy to carry around due to its size.

Having owned other moleskines and being a little disappointed in the page thickness, I bought this and found my dreams came true. This book has extremely thick, extremely high quality paper. I don't think even fountain or permanent pens would soak through these pages. Also it is a perfect pocket size but still very easy to write on and sizeable enough to fit alot on a page. The only downside is there aren't as many pages in this book than others, but they are of a higher quality so i'm not complaining. If you're not sure which to buy, try this one, you won't be disappointed.

good quality paper and nice pocket feature, but you cant lay it flat, making it hard to utilise the full page for drawing, and pages are impossible to rip out neatly or without destroying the whole book. I'd say it's overrated and overpriced-it limits your freedom creatively. But, if you are looking for really good quality paper then here's your guy!

Love these sketchbooks! The paper is super smooth, which I love for my ink and markers. Not as well suited for wet mediums but it handles acrylic well and I practice watercolour in there occasionally, even if the paper gets a bit rough after some use. Any water based marker will work wonders in this sketchbook, alcohol markers bleed through the paper, but the surface takes to it well. I haven't found a sketchbook that doesn't bleed through with the alcohol markers. Bit pricey, but the paper is really nice and the binding looks super professional.

Me ha acompañado a todos lados, los dibujos no se trasparentan aunque aprietes un poco más de la cuenta, el papel es resistente y para lo poco que lo he ido usando me ha valido, ya la he llenado después de 1 año y pico así que se merece las 5 estrellas por haberme durado tanto tiempo intacta.

One of the best sketchbooks. Takes everything well except watercolors.. little expensive for the size,but it keeps your effort and artwork intact. Been using it for more than 2 yrs now. No problem with stitching and cover quality etc.

Geliefert hat Amazon wie gewohnt recht schnell. Und das auch noch zu den Feiertagen. Danke hierfür. Das sich die Exemplare in der Qualität und Lieferung sehr unterscheiden sollen, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Bisher waren meine Bücher immer einwandfrei. Allerdings hatte ich noch nie dieses kleine Exemplar. Das Papier an sich ist in Ordnung. Lange noch kein Fine Art Papier. Für Aquarelle oder Wasserfarben würde ich dennoch das Aquarellbuch von Moleskine oder einer anderen Firma empfehlen. Für Skizzen und Notizen sollte die Qualität des Papiers ausreichend rein. Für Illustrationen, die später eingescannt und digitalisiert werden jedoch nicht. Pocket heißt hier nun auch wirklich Pocket. Ich habe mir die Maße zwar angeschaut bevor ich das Buch bestellt habe, war dann doch sehr enttäuscht, wie viel von der eigentlichen Zeichenfläche verloren geht. Ich würde dazu raten die Variante »Large« zu bestellen. So bleiben einem dann doch ein wenig mehr Freiheiten. Das Papier ist leicht gelblich und sehr angenehm anzuschauen, da ich kein Fan von Industrieweißem Papier bin. Vor dem Kauf sei es einem anzuraten, sich die kleine Variante anzuschauen. Ich persönlich bin kein Freund dieses Formats geworden.
