I sent mine back
I ordered two of these knowing from the photo that they would be inferior to the Boss FS-5U. But the Bespeco VM20 footswitches that I received were not at all like the cream powder coated ones shown in the Amazon photograph. They were painted not powder coated, they were pressed metal not cast, they had hooks to hold pairs of them together not dovetail "sliding sides". I sent them straight back within the hour. On the positive side they DID work. However on one it was VERY difficult to plug the jack plug in.Photos attached - the cream one advertised and two pix of the grey ones I sent back.

Excellent, long lasting.
I purchased this because my M-Audio and Proel piano style sustain pedals would always end up failing to work from normal use (due to the movement of the wire).This has provided me with a low cost alternative that works well and I can trust will not give that same problem.It does have a cheap plastic feel to it, but it's definitely tough enough for normal use.

Replaced my nearly 30 year old version with the newer version, the old version FINALLY broke.
Does what it needs to do. Suited better for a player who stands up rather than sitting down due to the angle BUT works great either way. I've had the older version nearly 30 years and it's only just broke. Arrived the next day with amazon prime HOWEVER, I don't think particular pedal is brand new. it shows signs of being used, scuffs on the pedal, probably from a shoe or a boot. Possibly ex-display but as long as it works it's fine.

It's cheap and it works
Works wel enough, feels cheaply made, very light I was worried it would "skate" on a.laminate floor...it doesn't though

Low quality item that does the job.
Below standard; feels horrible, scraping the sides at each press. Instead of the "rails" seen on the 90's Boss pedals, there are "hooks" (unlike the picture). But it does the job and does it better than two wires bitten off and attached to a paperclip. Although that's saved my life once on tour.

Not a Boss but a reasonable budget substitute
Seems to work but while it looks like its Boss equivalent it doesn't have the build quality. For my needs however the price was spot on...

Pleased with the quality and reasonable price.
Bought this on the strength of a Bespeco volume pedal which lasted longer for me than the top brand equivalent. Works well, just need to see how long it can last!
