Does this radio get good am reception ?

I live in a ‘bowl’ and usually struggle with getting good reception but this radio has been excellent.

I assume analog tuning, not digital. Does it lock stations well? How about speaker type and quality. Good?

Yes analog tuning, locks stations in very well. However my dial was off just a bit, the needle pointing to the station wasn’t accurate. The speaker is very loud and clear, I can easily hear it from the other side of our office. I plan on buying another for home and have no reservations doing so.
