Excellent kit, love the case and the fact that it has tests for water hardness, which is distinctly missing from the API Master Test Kit I have. My only complaint, is that the test tubes are plastic and they get scratched and dull quite quickly with use, meaning that the colours are harder to pick out. The only other downside in comparison to the API test kit, is that there are far more chemicals involved for testing Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate (The main things we all check for) in this kit than the API one. In the API one, Nitrite and Nitrate each only have one chemical to add, with Ammonia having just two to add to the test tube, where with this one, there are three for Ammonia and two for both Nitrite and Nitrate and a substance to add to the Nitrate test, with longer 'wait' times for the results.

It only comes with 3 vials when there’s 7 tests which means you’ll have to reuse the vials twice and one of the vials you'll have to even use it 3 times to do the tests which can easily lead to false readings, The picture clearly shows double the amount of vials but your only given 3.. I’ll have to order some more non Colombo vials soon before I can use it properly, I’m not gonna bother messaging them cause I no I’ll get no where, It’s a shame cause I was really looking forward to using these tests

bIm an experienced Marine fish keeper so I need to do several tests every week. Ive never tried this make of tests but decided to try it out. Two of the tests are not suitable for salt water (I expected this as its often the case with complete test kits but would have been useful to in experienced people if it told you that in advance) The presentation and storage is first rate,keeps everything in one place,tidy and clean.The tests themselves seem to work perfectly .which,of course is the main thing.the logistics of using the tests falls just a little short of ideal1. the testing tubes do not have a tight enough lid,as all these tests require shaking water with test chemicals in is likely to get splashed about so it is necessary to put a paper towel round the test tube while shaking it. not ideal .2. each of the test result sheets has handy instructions on the back as to how to use each test,however in most cases these instructions are in complete and if followed as shown will result in the wrong readings, be sure to read the more detailed instructions in the manual to get the tests right (basically the cards sometimes say when to mix the contents and sometimes they dont .it is essential to mix the contents EACH TIME a new chemical is added. Also it is essential to hold the drip bottle vertical when releasing the drips of chemical into the test, it makes this point in just one place in the manual but shows a picture of the drip bottle at 45% on ALL of the instruction cards.3. the ammonia test will react but NOT as indicated on the test result card which is clearly meant for freshwater only,this is not made clear at any point. Bottom line is this is a nice set and the tests appear to work well but not professionally thought out and a bit of a nightmare for a newbe

Has everything you need to check the most important water parameters in a freshwater aquarium - also, cheaper than some of the other master test kits I've seen and has tests for KH and GH which isn't in some of the other kits.

I am thoroughly disappointed and annoyed that I have been sent a second hand used/damaged water test kit. The condition in which this has been sent to me is frankly unacceptable.I would like a full refund.

Good test kit giving clear readings Pond must be monitored and this is the best way for amateurs like me doing it. Well packaged easy storage when not in use good value good buy
