Like: I restore and repair watches, and this microscope has revolutionised my capabilities. The clarity and magnification is simply stunning. It is incredibly easy to use, and the boom mounting means I have plenty of space to work - I can can easily wield a screwdriver above a watch without hitting the microscope. At maximum magnification I can see right through the jewels in a bridge plate to line up the pivots - impossible to do with a loupe or a standard magnifying lens. Cannot recommend highly enough.Dislike: Nothing major really. There are no paper instruction supplied, so assembly just requires a little bit of trial and error and working out from photographs of the product online. Never having used a microscope before operating also took a little bit of working out, but once mastered it is very simple.

Item arrived quickly and with no hold ups, no expensive shipping or customs fees,.Microscope is good quality and I purchased for pcb work, only used briefly so far as been busy at work but seems to work well.Also bought 0.5 barlow and light.Was securely packaged and no damage to packaging.There is a scuff mark on the base which I noticed on unpacking not sure where this is from as it is black and item was brand new unopened although wont affect use.

I use this microscope for watchmaking. It is absolutely perfect. In fact, it's an actual Game Changer for watchmaking. I can't believe I ever did this with only a loupe. A few tips for a new user:The microscope is incredibly easy to set up and fully adjustable. If you adjust it correctly, it can safely hang over the edge of your desk so you can sit fully upright in a comfortable chair while working. This would be the same for circuit boards, jewelry making or anything else where the space permits. For watchmaking, the 0.5 Barlow lens is critical since you need the space to work underneath the microscope. Also, my preference is NOT to sit directly above my items. Remember you have binocular vision with depth of field so if you're directly on top you can't work well. Angle the microscope a bit pointing 70-80 degrees instead of direct 90 depending on your preference.Pro Tip: Adjust the eyepieces all the way to their 'default' or 'original' point screwed clockwise. Now adjust the zoom to MINIMUM. Then adjust the main knob that says 'Tension' on it to be level top and bottom or in the 'center' of the mechanism's adjustment threshold, i.e. not all the way up or down, but in the middle. This is default ZERO stop. Now adjust the whole assembly's boom arm up or down until A.) you are sitting upright and comfortable and B.) you are closely or almost focused on an object sitting at work height. Now, and only now should you adjust your eyepieces to get the focus crisp and correct since you will not be able to focus fully by adjusting the boom (movements will be far too coarse!). Remember eyepieces should be adjusted for each eye individually with one eye closed at a time.Are you in focus? Okay, now zoom all the way in on your work piece at MAX magnification. Now adjust the Tension knob (the big one) to make focus crystal clear at MAX mag. Now use the zoom knob to zoom out all the way. You should still be in focus. In this way you can zoom in and out with very little adjustment IF your workpiece remains at the same working height. In other words, you should only be using the magnification knob most of the time, with fine adjustments for objects at varying heights on the table or workspace.Lastly, get a ring light, a great desk light as well that is moveable and a camera. Enjoy. I can't believe we live in a time where a microscope like this is sub $10,000. Amazing time to be alive.

Calidad aceptable, pero tiene varios detalles que hay que considerar y seguramente están relacionados con su precio. 1) El detalle más importante es que los tornillos del brazo horizontal no fijan la barra y el microscopio inevitablemente gira. Lo solucioné al revisar internamente la pieza y notar que le falta una lámina que es la que presiona el tornillo para fijar el brazo. Le comparto mi solución: utilicé una lámina para calibrar bujías de auto, menor a 0.010, para cada tornillo del brazo y listo! 2) El tornillo de enfoque no es preciso y tarda uno bastante para lograr una nitidez aceptable. 3) El cubre objetivo de los lentes inferiores no enrrosca bien y se cae. Por lo demás funciona aceptablemente, yo lo uso para obtener microfotografías de rocas y minerales. Tal vez sea también útil para relojería. Lo voy a probar.

Hello!So i have been looking through "the jungle" for my purpose: Watch Repair. I am studying to Watchmaker and this was exactly what i was looking for. The package came quickly to Sweden (3 days!)The package does not include any instruction but that is not a problem because there are not many parts and by the photo of the Microscope you can see how the Microscope is built.I think there should be an integrated light with this one because of the price but its not a problem just remember to buy some light for your workshop. It will help alot!Shipping was quick! I am satisfied with this product and i can recommend it to others!If you want, you can buy a camera and attach it like i did. It is perfect!I don't regret buying this because i am using it every day!Thank You!
