A scrape too far?
I donโt even know where to begin with this. A cabinet scraper? Yes, exceptional at scraping cabinets, no notes there. Precise, efficient, almost surgical in its ability to leave surfaces smooth and renewed. But in moments of desperation, purely theoretical, of course, its potential seems to expand. When certainโฆbathroom essentials are unavailable, one canโt help but notice its firm edge, its unyielding commitment to hygiene and cleanliness. It approaches every surface with the same ruthless dedication, leaving thingsโฆundeniably clear, if not entirely comfortable. A remarkable tool, truly. Best kept in the workshop, perhaps not for the side table of your toilet, but one canโt ignore its unsettling versatility

Great tool
Really impressed with this, although it did go blunt quicker than expected. Maybe I wasn't using it correctly as I've never used one of these before. Did a good job though.

Superb!
Last used one of these many years ago at school. Have been trying to finish some ancient Yew wood which wasn't responding to a planer or glass-paper I ordered one of these scrapers. Reviews for this scraper suggested it might not be an original Bahco product but took a chance on it. Product arrived in a branded bag, with all expected logos on the product. Product was clean and shiny, not tarnished / rusty / discoloured. Out of the bag it works reasonably, but spent a bit of time truing and honing and it gives superb results on even very tricky timbers. Check you-tube to see any of the many "how to sharpen a card scraper" videos.

Not for the average DIY-er
I bought this from a recommendation from a guy on YouTube who did a very nice job using it to strip a wooden kitchen work surface back to the bare wood. The item arrived the next day and I finally got round to using it yesterday. The scraper worked brilliantly taking great curls of old oil/varnish from the wood but as I worked, the blades (you can use all four edges) lost their edge and ceased to be so effective and that's where the problem arose. Check out any YouTube video and you'll see what is needed to sharpen the scraper, almost a full workshop's worth, well beyond anything I have in my cupboard under the stairs and certainly not worth the expense of buying them for my on-off job. By all means buy it if you're a professional or a well-equipped amateur. In my opinion the average DIY-er would do better to get something like the Harris Heavy Duty Tungsten Carbide Wood Scraper, the blades last ages and replacements can be easily when needed.
