Camille and Nero are everything and then some
First Read - 4 STARS, Second Read - 5 STARSBank heists? Car chases? Fast and Furious type car races? Mafia? Spice? A genuine connection between the love interests? If you like any of those things, you will love this book. There are 3 specific things that make Sophie Lark an instant buy author for me:1. Playlists (she includes a playlist in every single book and even puts them in throughout the chapters so it can really immerse you into the story and listen while you read certain scenes)2. Character Art (Seriously, the character art included throughout is insane.)3. Research (You can tell in every book she writes that she has researched every interest that the MC's could possible have. There is a wealth of info)Savage Lover is about Nero and Camille, two people who grew up very differently but in the same circles. Nero comes from an Italian Mafia family with a crap ton of money, and a lot of dark secrets. Camille on the other hand, is the daughter of a struggling mechanic who taught her everything he knows, and the sister of a kid genius. She grew up poor, but always had a strong backbone. She's struggling with bills, her father being sick, paying for her brothers college and the problems just keep getting piled on until she gets tricked into a deal with a slimy police officer. Now she's having to do things and put herself in situations entirely out of her comfort zone, which puts her directly into Nero's orbit. Nero and Camille are completely different people with opposite lives, but they have common interests and values, and they quickly realize that there's a burning chemistry between them. And boy, is it HOT.I seriously love this entire series. Callum and Aida will always be my favorites, but after getting to read Nero and Camille's story for a second time, I think they're definitely a close second. Nero is just so wholesome, and Camille is the type of strong FMC that I love to read about. This book has some great romance in it, but it didn't overshadow the plot at all. I was interested throughout the entire thing and never once got bored and I loved the bonus chapter. I felt like we really got to learn more about Camille's family and the people Nero and her grew up around. And don't even get me started on the character art. Sophie's artist nails it every single time.

Don't agree with the title
I'm happy I didn't listen to my gut when I first read the title. I could not put this book down and it certainly did not disappoint. I don't know if I agree that it's a "savage lover" but the characters we dynamic and even better as a couple. Four stars because I wish they was more time spent on watching the love grow.

Alright, I see you, fast and furious vibes!
Alright, I see you, fast and furious vibes! I liked Brutal Birthright, even though this wasn't my most enjoyable book. The story was refreshing; it felt less mafia-like and more realistic. I adored Camille; she was kind, intelligent, and a boss. & I don't know anything about vehicles, but Nero, I could learn it for you đźâđšIt was a really peaceful read all around! in particular for a mafia series. Although the plot was engaging, I had expected a little bit more drama and less routine.I can't wait to meet, DanteeeâšâšâThe truth is that Camille isnât my type at all. But I sort of felt like we might be becoming friendsâa little bit. I kind of liked her. And I donât like anybody. I barely like my own family. In fact, right now, Iâm only 50/50 on Aida.â

good book, low/ medium spice
Good book, itâs the 3rd in the series and was better written than the second and has more spice than the 1st and 2nd book. Good story line but it seems rushed towards the end. Once you read a few of the books in the series it seems to become predictable, almost feels like same story being told but different action scenes per book. Also the time line between the books donât add up cause the end of the 1st book is a year after the start and one character is pregnant but in the same time frame in a different book this particular character is NOT pregnant.

Great series
I enjoyed continuing the series, each Gallo is different, but so fun! But I'm always drawn to the car guy!

Bay-BAY! Sophie Understood the Assignment!
Sophie Lark understood the damn assignment! I donât know if she reads her reviews, but our good sis DELIVERED with Savage Lover. Listen, I ate this book up! Ate it! Finished it in hours because Sophie understands how to write unique and original mafia romances, and each book just keeps getting better. Ugh! Iâm in love with Nero. Iâm truly jealous of Camille. For real lol! But I love her as well. Why? Because Sophie doesnât recycle her characters. Each and everyone of them is different and she truly has a way of making them come off the page. Whatâs more is that Sophie books are unpredictable. Seriously, I didnât think Iâd be reading the 21st century version of Bonnie and Clyde - not that thatâs what Savage Lover is - but it definitely has that vibe. But what I love the most about this book and Sophieâs stories in general, is that she doesnât beat her readers down with excessive emotional conflict or miscommunication. Nope! Nero and Camille donât spend pages and pages agonizing over their feelings. When they sense that what they have is real, they go for it. And itâs just dope. Seriously, I canât tell you how much I hate excessive anything: emotional conflict, external conflict, miscommunicationâŠ.when abused, it makes for a terrible reading experience and book. But that isnât the case here. Even when the book gets a little expositive (when Nero is explaining the gadgets and whatnot heâs using for a certain projectâŠ.no spoilers) it just adds to the story. We get a deeper look into the characters.Anyway, this was another wonderful installment that exceeded my expectation. Seriously, I ate it up in 6 hours or less and loved every last second of it. From Nero and Camilleâs first encounter to the consistent action and steam, to the unexpected tender moments (and there were many becauseâŠ.Nero guh!) this book was everything. Seriously, it hit the spot.Let the reading continue!

Love the book so much!
Since the first one, i was already excited to meet Nero. He's the kind oh character that grips you and makes you think what's going on in his head. I confess I read the second book only waiting for this one, but in the end, I loved both of them, obviously this one soo much more. But just because Nero and Camille are awesome, I loved their shared passions, and their little arguments along the way, it made me smile so much more. Also, their perfect for each other, and that's what makes it more interesting.

Slow & Steady
I found the lead up into the story slightly slow, but once we got Nero and Camille together, it all clicked and picked up.As someone who had known her husband casually for years before we got together, I can totally appreciate how fast things moved with Nero and Camille. Plus both of them are older than Aida and Nessa in prior books and neither have this romanticized vision of life and love.Camille is an adult, who grew up fast and knows who she is and despite what she feels, she came across CONFIDENT!Nero has always seemed so aloof, so seeing him suddenly feel responsible and vulnerable was such a welcome change. Eager to see bits and pieces of them in the rest of the series to see how their relationship evolves. It was like we only got a small snippet of what they can be together.

Action packed story!

Made my Day
Nero is crazy and I love him. His and Camilleâs story is straight out of a movie but better. I loved Camille and Nero together as they got close and even did craaazzzy stuff together. Loved it.
