Can this be used to heat a 10ft childs pool ?

Not to be advised!! that's for sure, you would be better to have a coil of black hose pipe with a pump which would heat the water vis the sun!!

Is the picture the correct one? i look for type bs314, on the picture i see bs327. but i believe last 2 number indicate the inches. can you clarify?

Bs numbers are manufacturer's part numbers and they change as newer versions of the part are produced ... the actual description of the part will give you the length of the unit ... usually 14" or 27" ... depending on which way it fits into the rank. The 14" units usually fit horizontal and the 27" units are more vertical.

Immersion heater

Straight out of the box with no hassle, fitted and works.It is a real pain having to drain the hot water tank before removing an old broken immersion, but here's hoping not to have to do it again for a long time.

Depending on the depth of the tank the element needs to be about 2 thirds of the tank depth

This was to replace the element in an emersion tank but should have ordered a longer element although the 14 inch one will do the job but the water doesn't remain as hot for as long as it seems to do with a longer element
