Absolutely great.
This heater performs as described. SUPERB 👍 Ideal for keeping small enclosed spaces damp free, keeping valuables protected from humidity. Really economical to run , can be left on permanently. Great quality and great value for money paid. Thermostat controls off and on operation. Fit and forget 🙂

Nice low level heater.
I leave this in the kitchen overnight, takes the chill off when I walk in in the morning. Also helps with the window condensation. Doesn't use much electricity.

Very effective in greenhouse
Great. Very effective and doesn’t cost much to run. Needed a heat source for my large greenhouse. I needed to raise the temp in winter to stop condensation and try to remove mold on plants from the damp. I have had this running on high for a week and can’t see any impact on my electricity consumption and the temp has now risen and I have turned it down. The start of mold has stopped and condensation gone. Exactly what I needed. It won’t heat a large greenhouse but it will raise the temp enough to not freeze or support the damp. Great price

Tube heater works, with an overheating protection thermal cut, it does not regulate ambient temps
It's ok, no different to other suppliers. The coating on the tube is easily damaged and when reaching out to aftersales support about replacement feet and where to purchase, they were unable to advise, just demanded proof of purchase and did nothing after it was sent. Based on my experience, I would not trust Hylites redistributers to look after it's customers.

Rubbish
i bought 2 of these for a small unheated box room sized storage area, i fitted and got them fitted on a discrete open section of wall with the additional available metal heater guards and both up and running in under 10 minutes so they are very easy to install and require little to no diy ability really. the problem is they produces hardly any heat and they are basically totally infective as a heater. i have had them switched on all day on the max setting and we have noticed no real heat improvement if anything what so ever, its a total and utter waste of nearly £100 for 2 heaters and the 2 metal guards. we wanted the metal guards as they are in a storage area so it is more to protect from physical damage than to protect from burns, however the heat output is so low i would only use the guard to protect from physical damage or children and pets going near the heater as maybe this could burn a child or animal however if its only you and its not going to get knocked then you might not need the metal guard as its not going to get disturbingly hot to cause you a serious burn. like i said i have had 2 on all day on a mild November day and seen no real heat improvements in a small storage room, sorry but 55w is not going to give you any real heating results if my 2 with a total of 110w is not producing any real noticeable heat after been on constantly for now 8 hours, for example we placed a basic blow type heater in the same room to compare and within 10 minutes the room was very warm with a blow heater, Frankly trying to save energy to save money with these 2 tube heaters has just poured nearly £100 into the bin as 55w heaters are not going to do a thing to do real heating. just maybe an airing cupboard in the centre of an already warm home could benefit if you have no hot water tank in the house to warm your airing cupboard but otherwise i would avoid this for an energy saving solution. i am baffled by all the positive reviews as these reviews was the very reason i made my purchase. these heaters are absolutely not a good heating solution what so ever unless you are going to buy the much larger and more powerful versions and then it will be an eyesore and a space issue to deal with as the powerful versions are very long. AVOID

good heater for greenhouse, garage or unheated room
This review is for the Hylite 500mm 55w Slimline Eco heater Reason for buying. I bought this heater for a seedling area I have to stop the temperature from dropping below around 18 degrees during the winter. I don't always run the central heating when I'm not in the house, and as the building walls are un insulated it can get a bit cold. Down to detail The heater is Small and compact. It comes well packaged and sufficiently protected from damage in transit. Supplied in the box are 2 mounting brackets/floor stands(depending what you want to do with it) which are made in 2 parts to clip around the tube, and a single screw pulls the 2 sections together. There is a supplied 1.5 meter power cable to fit into the end, and a foam pre-cut spacer to go between the heater and the power lead on insertion. I figure that it is to stop moisture ingress into the lead plug/heater connection if there is moisture in the area. The instructions don't say, but that's my guess. The heater has a built in thermostat, but there is no temperature setting marks (as in 20,21,25 degrees or whatever). So you turn it on low, allow the area to heat up and gradually increase the setting a bit at a time until the desired room temperature is obtained. maybe not the best method, as it takes a bit of time, but it does work if you persevere. Once it's set, just leave it to do it's thing. I have mine keeping the area at abound 18 degrees, and that's good for me. Wattage is stated at 55 watts, but that would be 55 watts if on for a full hour, you probably find that it's less than that as the heater switches on and off. If it's on for a full hour, chances are you need a bigger model for the size of the area you have. Note: the maker states 55 watts, but does not state if that's 55 watts output from the heater, or 55 watts draw from the mains. Either way, it's less than a light bulb of 100watts.. pennies to run. Recommendation: I fitted the heater into an RCD plug for my own peace of mind. If there was a fault with the heater or a fire when I am away from the house, the RCD should cut the power to the heater. For an extra £7-10, I would suggest getting one too. Your choice :) Would I recommend to friend and family... Yes Would I buy again... Yes. I actually also bought at 100mm 120W version for another area. Thanks for reading, and I hope some information was of use to you. If it was, I would appreciate you taking a second to click on the yes button below "Was this review helpful to you?

Lasciato acceso una notte intera in una serra di meno di 1 metro cubo non ha riscaldato nulla.

Incredibly annoying - it's a UK company and they sent it with UK plug to the EU. Why? Who knows. Rather pointless in the EU. Pain in the neck to return.
