Brilliant!!
Just the best exterminator of irritating flies and bugs! Robust and lasts for years, deff the best zapper I've ever bought, well worth the money. Watch the little blighters snap, crackle and pop!!! Recommend

Very effective and quite fun
Second one of these I've bought. Really effective and can handle really quite big insects.

fabulous weight and size, proper fly killer
fabulous, good weight and size, works very well as there is no health and safety mesh in the way batteries included highly recommended

Powerful zapper
Great product - most smaller flies are killed after one hit, and most bigger flies are stunned in one hit then killed on the second hit. However, my swatter only came with 1x C-battery inside the battery compartment. And battery compartment cover appeared to be missing the 2x plastic catches, so the cover cannot lock into place properly. It was shipped with a rubber band which can keep it in place, but not sure if the plastic catches were snapped off, or if itโs a manufacturing defect.

Flying nuisances, BEGONE! But make sure you're ready for the POP!
I bought this in the Summer of this year because we seemed to be getting plagued by flies and I don't like the smell or impact of fly spray. Since buying it I've used it several times, mainly on fruit-flies, which we get quite a lot of because we have a compost caddy in the kitchen. When I very first used it I really wasn't prepared for the volume of the pop I got, even with such a small fly. Each insect it hits is hit by a static shock that makes it literally explode with a bang like a firework - but trust me when I say, there's no mess! I have to admit to becoming a bit sadistic where flies are concerned since buying this. It comes with batteries, so you don't have to worry about rummaging in drawers or running to the shops to buy some (just have them in as back-up for when you do need them) and you are WARNED to NOT touch the "strings" while the switch is depressed or you WILL get the same static shock that the bugs you use it on will get! I've been very careful in this respect, because I don't like shocks, be they static or any other kind. Store it carefully, so the strings won't get broken and if you're not using it for a good while, take out the batteries to limit them corroding in the device. As environmentally-friendly small flying pest destroyers go, you can't go far wrong with this and the only problem you'll have potentially are some hungry spiders because you've fried their dinner before they could catch it!

Your Own Personal Air Defence System!
My advice? Buy the Pro model. I've purchased four of these over the years, beginning with the standard model, which is excellent by the way. But the newly released and upgraded Pro version has two distinct advantages: 1) a larger mesh and longer reach, making it easier to catch fast moving flies 2) higher capacity C sized batteries instead of AA's, for longer lasting use. To use these you simply press the button on the handle to energise the mesh, wave it over the offending moth or fly, and ZAP! Bluebottles spread disease, but wave this at them and they generate a loud crack and spin to the floor as if they've been hit my a Patriot missile. And the moths that have ruined my expensive wool rug and drilled holes in my suit literally explode on contact. Retribution is strangely satisfying, it turns out, and the invading hordes stand no chance in my well defended household. So yes, this thing really is lethal to flying insects. Their demise is instant, so it's a humane way for them to go, and it's a lot safer to your family than spraying poison around that will also go into your lungs. There are plenty of cheapo knockoffs around, but the Executioner is the original, best made, and most effective in my humble opinion. Buy one - you will not be disappointed! Lastly I'd like to appeal to users NOT to zap any bees. Bees are friendly creatures that we all depend on for pollinating our food supply. They only sting in self defence, if severely harassed. Bees are our friends :-) Bluebottles, hornets, wasps, horse flies, clothes moths etc, not so much.

Efficient slaughter of flying insects
Helluva thing. Well worth the extra couple of quid for improved performance over the standard size one. Small stuff like fungus gnats and fruit flies explode on contact. Can't comment on wasps etc, as I let them go now- there's so few about. But suspect they wouldn't like it. Excellent battery life from the larger C cells. Still on the originals after 5 months. Recommended.

Good for small insects, but more impressive than effective for larger flying insects
I bought this as I've had a swarm of midge-like things bothering me in my garden a few times and I wanted some payback. And for little midges and clothes moths, this racket works pretty well. However when attempting to dispatch a housefly, the limitations of this zapper were laid bare. Firstly, the impressive build-quality and heft of the zapper works against it: It's a bit like trying to play badminton with a tennis racquet, the zapper is a bit too heavy and unwieldy to track a fast-moving housefly. Holding down the button to keep the racquet live isn't much of a bother, but I did loosen the battery cover with the occasional swing at the fly. The "Pro" version uses C-type batteries, whereas the standard version uses AA batteries. Secondly, it just doesn't have the punch needed to dispatch a good-sized housefly. I caught up with the fly and the zapper gave out an impressive crack of spark as the fly made contact with it, but after being zapped, the fly just flew off. With a combination of disappointment in the zapper and newfound respect for the fly, I pursued the fly around the house until I cornered it against a window and caused the pest to fly into the zapper's wires. Another crack of spark and noise, but the fly just dropped a few inches under the zapper and flew away. In fairness it was clearly stunned and landed on the ground. As it landed by the back door, I opened the door and it flew outside, probably wondering what on earth had just happened. As I get the occasional wasp in the house, I now know that the zapper is unlikely to kill a wasp on first contact my zap alone, and after zapping, I am likely to be faced with a wasp that is not only alive and well, but pretty ticked off and looking for revenge. It would be a bit like facing a pitbull with a taser. Yeah it might work, but if it doesn't, I've just made things worse. In conclusion, for clouds of midges, this is absolutely a great zapper. For larger insects, it's not a guaranteed kill, and when tackling wasps, that's a definite problem for me. Additionally, if you're not particularly strong, I think this zapper is going to be too heavy to be effective and useful. That said, it IS pretty cool-looking. If you must have one, I suggest you buy the smaller version, as it'll be lighter and more useable than the "Pro".
