Holder works well, as long as you're wearing a belt. However, I rarely use it. My pole seem to always go to it's default hold, which is my arm pit. I guess old habits are hard to break.

I love this little rod holder, there’s 2 small Velcro straps to hold to your belt and one big Velcro strap to hold your rod. It’s not in the way or even noticeable, but it sure comes in handy when your line gets tangled on those windy days, or the fish swallowed your fly, or the fish ate your fly, or…

This handy device is like a third hand when tying knots or rummaging through your fishing vest/bag while wading. Velcro straps on the back will accommodate up to a 1.5 inch belt. A nice addition to your wading setup.

This fly rod holder velcros nicely to wader or vest straps. It beats tucking the rod under your arm all of the time (with the occasional dunk in the water). I've only tried it out once, but it seems well made. A pretty cheap gift for the fly fisherman that has (almost) everything.

Slips right on your belt. Does a good job of holding my rod to free up my hands so that I can respond to the incessant texting from my wife.

So far my favorite rod holder. Velcro has held up so far. I have purchased the expensive name brand ones and they have all either fallen off or fallen apart. Great product!!!
