I didn't order these with any particular activity or need in mind, but I like to be prepared and figured these are a low-cost option that could give me some peace of mind while traveling, alone in the house, out and about, etc. They're a little thicker than PaperMate Ink Joy pens, which are the fattest pens I own. Maybe on par with a Sharpie or something? Not as big as a Crayola Washable Marker, though. Anyway. The directions said to be careful not to drop them directly on the bulb because it would shatter, which is something I'd never thought of. It came with enough batteries for all 3 pen lights. The colors are vibrant and really pretty (I got the blue, pink, and purple pack). The light is pretty bright for how tiny the bulb is.

Light, easy to carry ,cheap and strong light

These lights are pretty to use and seem durable. I like that I can switch out and recycle the batteries instead of throwing the whole light away. They do seem a bit too bright right from the start, most patients complain of brightness when assessing pupils. Overall I like them, I carry one in my purse and was forced to share!

Recently purchased.I find this light very strong if using to assess pupil size. Also accidentally turn on in my bag. Overheated, almost burned my hand when I went to grab it. Quiet dangerous. Never had this issue before.

I love this, it gave a good bright light to check pupils and it has a good quality that it won’t break if it falls on the floor
