This is a beautifully made, genuinely effective product from a supplier, SmarterPaws (formerly known as MaxiPaws), that clearly cares about its customers, both human and canine. The Training Guide alone is a lot more than you’ll get from other providers, much more useful than the varied advice you’ll find anywhere else and, like their emails, all done with a charm and wit that especially endears them. Having previously used old-fashioned whistles, we can vouch for the fact that dogs like Lulu only respond to the single human frequency when they feel like it, with the same selective contempt that Roadrunner shows for Wiley Coyote’s Acme gadgets (wink-wink); plus, they tend to offer the added embarrassment of making a loud, conspicuous noise that other amused walkers notice not working. With the SmarterPaws Ultrasonic, you get to tune the instrument to your dog’s favourite pitch, usually less than audible to the humans who would otherwise be pointing and shaking their heads at your efforts. Now, after a very short learning curve (for us and her), the SmarterPaws whistle has made Lulu’s walks and runs a much more harmonious affair. Happy trails!

I recently purchased the multi frequency whistle from maxi paws purely because I have a 12 year old terrier who is going deaf. Walks in the park we're becoming a nightmare because Pip would toddle off on her merry way in the wrong direction and I would be desperately trying to get her attention and failing.it was embarrassing because people thought she was ignoring me and unless she turned around to see where I was she could just carry on.I spoke to the vet and she told me to try a whistle but to get a multi frequency one so I could change it to pips hearing range.I chose maxi paws because it was the cheapest but also because it came with a lanyard and was smart looking.Maxi paws as a company are fantastic. Communication is excellent and very humorous. Product arrived the next day. Product was exactly as described and IT WORKS. Woohoo. So pleased.I adjusted the frequency very easily and tried it on the first night when coming in from the garden. As soon as I blew the whistle she came. In the park it's been fantastic and she has adjusted very well. I now know when she is ignoring me deliberately 😀 My 3 year old granddaughter gets good fun out of it too.Big thank you to Maxi Paws for making my life so much easier.

Arrived quickly, very funny message from Craig, made me laugh! Good communication throughout. Unfortunately the cover to keep whistle clean and stop it from getting lost was missing, However, this was not Craig's fault and the return/replacement was sorted out quickly so don't let that put you off buying from this seller! I have not received the replacement yet but I don't doubt it will arrive quickly.The whistle itself is very well made, sturdy and feels good quality, comes with a training manual which is useful if you are a whistle novice like me!Recommend this product and the seller.

I got this as our 2nd rescue dog, Millie, loves to go off into the forest chasing heaven knows what, I do have a whistle to which she normally responds, but occasionally she goes off so far & fast she can't seem to hear the whistle; so I bought this as I thought the sound might travel further. It seems as if our other dog hears the whistle as she turns her head when I blow it, but so far it appears Millie does not, even when not too far away. I will persevere with it but not overly impressed at the moment. However it did arrive speedily & well packed.

I’m not a dog owner, but live 2 doors from a house that now has a very happy dog that incessantly barks and makes sitting in the garden genuinely unpleasant. It’s not always easy to approach neighbours who show no interest in their dog. I read up on training a dog not to bark and bought this whistle.I wanted to see if I could give the dog a little reminder that he is making too much noise each time he barks. I’ve only used it a few times but it worked like a charm, for every bark I gave a short blow on the whistle. Within just a few moments, he calmed down. I’ts pretty obvious that it works well.The whistle is very well made and depending on how hard you blow it’s obvious the sound gets louder and carries farther, you can tune the frequency a little which is probably good for people who want to find the right sound for their own dog.Very very pleased

Item is good quality item, well packaged and delivery very quick.Purchased to stop neighbours dogs yapping constantly when sitting outside, a long blow whilst their yapping. They stop. So far so good.I use a whistle for recall with my own dog , and find this whistle will be really useful because you can alter the pitch to the dog, instead of having to buy different toned whistles for each dog, Having re-homed quite a number of dogs, I have found different dogs even though they are all the same breed, react to different pitches..Took a while to work out which is the higher and lowest pitch., because it has very little sound, might be useful to indicate on instructions high end and low end, but otherwise very effective.

I was initially really impressed with the concept of this whistle, particularly the idea that the pitch can be adjusted to one that your individual dog responds best. There was a comprehensive guide enclosed explaining how to alter this, as well as useful instructions on whistle training your dog; so far so good. However, having set the optimal frequency, I found after about half an hour that the pitch had changed, which was due to the screw nut loosening. I duly reset the length of the rod, tightened the nut as much as was physically possible, only to find the same thing happened again and again. This was not only annoying, but interrupted my puppy's recall training whilst I was faffing about with the whistle. I would have returned it, but to top it all, I got home only to find the whistle had fallen out of the 'anti-loss cover', which is a complete misnomer! Sorry Smarter Paws, but this really wasn't fit for purpose!

Working well with the dogs

Great product! Especially for the price no complaints! The people above me have a dog that barks constantly for 4am on throughout the day. It’s quite so people can’t hear it super well and they shut up so it must work!

Ne fonctionne pas du tout sur mes Jacques Russell, déçu d'avoir dépenser dans quelques chose qui est sensé faire arrêter d'aboier mes chiens.

Ottimo prodotto... da usare nelle notti d'estate quando dormi con le finestre aperte e i vicini lasciano abbaiare i loro cani... torna il silenzio all'istante!!!

Wunderschöne Hundepfeife , näheres kann ich zum Gebrauch noch nicht sagen , da ich diese erst noch ausprobieren muss.Die Pfeife selber ist verstellbar hat ein wunderschönes Halsband wo man auch ein Clicker dran befestigen kann , kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen.
