Got this to mount a 15 inch floor tom on a boom crash cymbal stand because to reach my 18 inch floor tom was making me turn to far to reach it. Works great, holds like a champ and is very adjustable to just about any position.

I really like this mount. Very sturdy. And the extra gurth of thr product gives some separation from the stand to the drum. Mounting to a stand instead of the kick has helped my drums resonate a bit more. I'd consider this option for all rack toms.

I have a tama Swingstar, its great, but i had this small air tom sitting around there i was actually using one of my cymbal stands to hold down the tom, so i decided to get this clamp, opened it up its a bit heavy and i thought it would throw off the stand off balance, well it didnt it hold up great at the angel i want it and it does come loose and im a hard hitter, i definitely recommend this product.Note also check the rod Diameter this was a bit off, it struggled a tad but to place it, but it got placed.
