Ayuuri Aritha (Soap Nuts) Natural Ayurvedic Shampoo Powder 100g

Having used Reetha / Aritha (soap nut) powder to wash my hair for some time now, together with Shikakai and Amla powder,I recently tried out this brand. It's pretty awful. Certainly not recommended if you're just starting out using plant powders for your hair or skin.1) The product is more coarse than other brands I used, which means it's more difficult to use (prep, application, washing it out). Best way to use it: boil for a while, soak over night, then filter - i.e. don't put the actual grains in your hair at all.2) Poor packaging: product did not arrive as powder but as sticky, grainy block (must have been exposed to humidity).Overall, not unusable but rather unpleasant.

The smel of this powder mixed with water actually made me feel nauseous.I cannot comment on the effectiveness as I didn't even get to the point of putting it on my hair!

Yet to try this but will do so shortly. Supposed to be really good for the hair, at least it hasn't got 5000 chemicals in it like western rubbish.

Aritha is one of best natural shampoos. I am trying to avoid shampoos, SLA or not, they are very drying. This gives the same effect as shampoo. I used with some shikakai and tulsi (indian basil) and powdered lavender, it seemed volumise my hair. Brilliant. Definitely recommend.I read the comment about the smell. End of the day these are akin to powdered wood bark, dried leaves etc. If you are expecting the frangrance of a shampoo, then this is not the product for you!

I ordered this product 3 weeks ago, it was meant to come in 2 weeks ago but there has been no sign of it. I contacted the seller and the response was poor and so far they have done nothing to see that my package gets to me.Poor postage, poor customer service. Please do not buy this product I never give product reviews but I felt the need to do so in this case as I do not want anyone else go be scammed as I have been.

Cleansing and conditioning. I add this to my ayuurvedic cleansing/conditioning mud wash. Works a treat! I will definitely repurchase again. Recommended.
