top drawer and thorough pictorial history of cycling and the greatest invention of all time, the humble bicycle. the entire history of the bike is explained in brief with thousands of photos of the bikes that changed cycling forever, not just road bikes but tourers, track bikes, mountain bikes, BMX...the lot. also covers great manufacturers and memorable tour de france classics and such like. this way exceeded expectations and its a BIG coffee table type book and looks like it should retail for about 50 quid so for the price this is a real bargain. great gift idea for anyone who loves bikes/cycling and the mechanics of bicycles.

not much good for real history of the cycle very usa orientated and does not even have a pict of starleys Penny Farthing or the First Safety cycle.
