These Wireless Headphones have really enhanced our TV viewing experience.
Both my wife and myself are very pleased with these wireless headphones as they have solved multiple problems and issues. We have had a so-called "Smart" TV for a number of years now and have never been satisfied with the sound quality on any of the settings, with dialogue often being drowned by music, even on so-called "clear voice" setting. The problem seems to have got worse lately due to the poor sound often accompanying modern films and TV productions, not to mention that my hearing is deteriorating as I get older. With high definition pictures, but poor quality sound, it has spoiled our enjoyment on many occasions. We tried sound bars in the past, but they did not help with hearing dialogues clearer at all.We also moved to a smaller house last year and we have been concerned about disturbing neighbours due to the rather thin walls as we can sometimes hear the neighbours' TVs on an evening, so are pretty sure they can hear ours, especially when we have to turn up the volume to try to discern the dialogues. On top of all this, my wife watches some programs that simply drive me mad. (Maybe I'm just getting to be a grumpy old git!) I can't bear to even hear to them in the background when I'm trying to do my own thing, reading, browsing on the laptop, or just relaxing. It works the other way round too, some of the stuff I like is not to my wife's taste, and living in a smaller place, it seemed there was no escape. It became very frustrating, so I searched for "TV Headphones" on Amazon. These Artiste ADH300 Wireless TV Headphones looked like they offered the perfect solution at a reasonable price. The product description looked impressive and there were many good reviews which all look genuine. I didn't want Bluetooth or similar "Wi-Fi" technology because of connectivity problems that can often affect these, I just wanted something simple and straightforward that would transmit the sound without dropping out, and without needing constant pairing etc. In other words, something effective and reliable, but simple to use. When these headphones arrived the following afternoon, I could hardly wait to try them out, but abided by the instructions which stated that they should be fully charged for 7 hours. Ten hours later, they were still charging. Only then did I recall that I had some spare rechargeable AAA's in the drawer. I checked these were fully charged and replaced them in the headset and hey presto - I was in business. (The original batteries are now fully charged and work perfectly.)Disappointingly, the headphones didn't work using the RCA audio connection (red and white sockets) at the rear of the TV despite me trying different settings in the TV's Tools menu, but this must be a limitatation of our not-so-smart TV and not these headphones. (In the past we had problems getting other external speakers and soundbars to work and could only get them to work via the 3.5 mm audio out jack). So I removed the RCA adapter and plugged the 3.5mm plug directly into the TV's audio out jack. This worked, but naturally the normal TV speakers cut off as they are designed to do, which is why I tried the RCA connection in the first place, as on some TVs this will enable both the TV speaker and the Headphones so that other people can still listen to the TV without headphones, and both sound sources are independently adjustable. The following day I contacted the vendor (JYElectronicStore) and they posted me a "DAC optical out" adapter, next day delivery. The adapter arrived the next morning as promised and it only took a short while to work out how to connect the supplied power cable, electronic metal box, and optical cable. I did struggle a little finding the correct orientation to insert the optical cable into the back of our smart TV, and as I had to push it in quite firmly, I was afraid of breaking something, but once it clicked into place it worked immediately without me having to change any speaker settings. Now we can adjust the TV speaker sound by the normal volume control or even mute it and adjust the headphone sound independently to our liking, enabling one person to wear the headphones and anyone else to listen to the TV normally. The almost square shaped headphones themselves are quite lightweight at 245 grams (just a little more than my Bose noise cancelling wired headphones) and are quite comfortable to wear and cover the ears well. They are a soft fabric and not leather. They only muffle exterior sounds a little which is good, as we can still hear the doorbell and even have a brief conversation while wearing them. Both my wife and myself wore them for several hours today and they remained comfortable. The stereo sound is quite decent, no crackles or hisses or any kind of interference, and the digital volume control on the left phone is easy to adjust to the perfect setting. At last I can hear voices clearly above the music and other sounds in the movie track or TV program and needn't fear disturbing the neighbours at any time.We are both really pleased with these headphones and the service we received from the vendor. I have already ordered another pair of headphones only, so that we can both enjoy at the same time the enhanced sound these earphones provide and adjust the sound, each to our personal comfort level.All-in-all a great buy, and not too difficult even for technophobes to install. The instructions are in large clear print, with pictures.Summary:* For many TV set-ups the Headphones come with all you need:1. The cradle/charger unit with a power cord and plug with UK mains adapter and attached audio cable (about 2 meters long) which plugs into your TV's audio out 3.5mm AUX socket.2. An RCA audio adapter/connector with the 2 pronged red and white plugs which you can use should your TV have functioning RCA audio output sockets. (My TV has the Red/White sockets as shown in the video, but they may be inputs rather than outputs, which would explain why mine didn't work; the label just states "audio".)3. The Headphones themselves which you charge simply by placing them in the cradle.4 Two pre-installed rechargeable AAA batteries (accessible in the right side headphone by pushing down the small catch at top above the ear cushion, and pulling off should you ever need to replace them.)* If you use the 3.5 mm AUX connection, the TV's built in speaker will automatically cut off, so only someone using the headphones can hear it. You will also most likely need to select "External Speaker" in your TV Settings/Menu.The same may apply if you use the RCA connection. Different models of TVs will differ. If your RCA connection doesn't work, like mine, and if you wish to have the TV speakers remain active while you use the headphones, you will need to ask the vendor to supply you with a "DAC optical to analogue converter". This is offered free. If not, they are available on Amazon for about £10. But try your RCA connection first, and then go into your sound settings if they don't work automatically, as many reviewers had no problem at all with their RCA connections. So if you do need to use a DAC optical converter as well, remember that you'll need two available electrical sockets to supply power to both the Charger Cradle and to the DAC, so you may need some sort of multiple extension to accept these two extra devices as well as your present TV add-on devices such as cable/satellite/dvd boxes etc which all need power.Setting up is really not as complicated as it may sound, and well worth the small effort for such a great reward!I saw that some reviewers complained that the headphones didn't connect well in the charger cradle. We have had no problems at all with this.If you experience any problems at all, just contact the vendor (JYElectronicStore) via Amazon. They are very helpful and answer any questions super fast. They also offer a two year guarantee on these headphones, promising to replace them if faulty.Update: We received the second pair of earphones today. To pair them, I simply turned off the existing pair and the base unit. I then switched on the second pair and then switched on the base unit; the new set paired immediately. You can pair as many sets to the one base unit as you wish, even for the whole family. Once again we are very pleased. Highly recommended. However it seems the one downside of using the same base unit for multiple headphone sets is that you cannot charge one set while using another, as when the headphones charge, the sound is cut off to the headphones in use. So the only way to be able to charge two or more headphones simultaneously is to buy another complete set with base unit. Had the supplier warned me of this limitation, I would have done this instead of saving a few quid by just buying the second set of headphones on their own. However, we simply charge the headphone sets in the cradle on alternate nights, overnight, as the charge lasts long enough for our daily viewing needs.I had previously uploaded a video and still picture to help augment my review, but technical problems at Amazon seem to preclude uploads at the present time, so hopefully this re-written review noting all the pros and cons makes everything clear, albeit without the pictures of our set-up.

Good wireless headphones
Great headphones - these are the only ones I've found that don't have an annoying crackle when you listen to them. You can also pair multiple headsets to a single transmitter (the supplier said up to 50!). They also gave me instructions on how to pair multiple headsets and I thought it would be useful to pass that on here as it's not in the instruction manual:1. Turn the power off for headphone No. 1 and the transmitter. As the transmitter has no power button you need to disconnect it from the mains.2. Turn on headphone No. 2 by pressing the power button for about 8 seconds until the green light (next to the volume buttons) starts to flash. Then release the power button.3. Connect the power to the transmitter. The red light on the transmitter should start to flash which indicates that it is searching for a “pairing”. After about 10 seconds, the red light should go out which means the transmitter has finished pairing with headphone No.2.4. Test the pairing by playing some music or other audio source through the transmitter. The green light on the headphones and red light on the transmitter should stay constantly lit which means the pairing was successful5. You can now turn on headphone 1 and both should be able to receive the chosen audio source. You can buy extra headsets with no transmitter - just search on Amazon for : ASIN: B06XC1XLNJ. They're about £20 cheaper.

Genuinely does the job well for flat screen dialog
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have difficulty as do many, with hearing dialog in films on flat TVs. This really solved that problem. My sound bar gives good bass but drowns the dialog and removes access to the TV sound menu controls.I spent two days researching every solution I could find. I dismissed bluetooth (even low latency) as risky for lipsync (there is nothing worse, and I think it mentally reduces hearing dialog properly). So RF it was and lipsync is perfect. These headphones give very good bass but somehow leave the dialog extremely clear. I wear them for all films and now get great bass 'rumbles' as well as hearing every word. Unbelievable, where's the downside? None.No setup required, automatic connection (no manual pairing as you would with blutooth), just put them on an listen.I set my TV to low bass, high treble (which I cannot with the sound bar on) and headphone volume high-ish in case I use that connection (I don't, I use optical - all cables supplied). People without headphones can control the TV volume as normal and I with my headphones can adjust mine seperately and the level I get on max. is far too loud, and min. is very soft. Fantastic experience. The rectangular ear covers might seem an odd shape but in fact they completely enclose my ears and are so comfortable (even after two hours) that I forget I have them on when I move about. Reception in another room is excellent. The head loop may seem bendy when swung around but is not a problem. The on/off and plus/minus volume buttons are on the left ear and very easy to operate without removal. The two rechargeable batteries are in the right earphone and easy to get to with a twist, should you need.I can fully recommend this unit, save yourself a lot of research. Good value for money, don't buy cheaper ones!
