Not for inexperienced users.
As my local salon is closed due to covid, desperation led me to try to do my Brazilian at home. I watched tutorials online to try to get an idea of how best to go about it. Anyway, for the hard wax, you put the tin straight into the container and switch on to high until all the wax has melted, then turn down to medium. That was the 1st problem. The heater doesn't keep a consistent heat. When it is first melted it's too runny to use, as it won't stay on the spatula, but even on the medium heat it's still too runny. If I turn it below medium, its starts to get too solid. It's hard to get the temperature right. 2nd problem, unless you are trained in waxing, and are experienced, this is REALLY difficult to do yourself. It's so messy, and if you can't get the right temperature and thickness of wax on, it will be almost impossible to get it off again, not to mention you could really burn yourself if you're not careful. Really awkward to apply wax yourself. I'm used to waxing my legs and underarms myself, using strip wax, but I don't think I'll be doing this myself again. Bottom line, don't attempt this unless you have plenty of experience, and are super flexible.

It’s a really fab wax!! Don’t forget the oil!!!
LOVE this!! Just ordering another Gigi wax. I did a Hollywood on my own!! Eekkk! Covid made me do it. It took me 3 attempts, pain killers and a numbing cream but I definitely did it and once I got a system going, it was easy. I did it in little spots. And gradually found what worked for me. I reckon I’ll start doing my wax at home.My underarm was a breeze!!!This is so super! But don’t forget to put oil down before!!I purchased the per epilating oil but used body oil instead as it didn’t come in time.Always put oil down. Makes the waxing easier and smoother

If someone says it doesnt hurt - they're lying
Not that easy to use., well not for me anyway. Tried doing the lady area and accidentally dropped wax where no wax should ever go. Experienced a very long painful hour or so of trying to gently pry the wax off. Also whenever I used the wax I would then find it in the most random places days afterwards. This all could just be that I am in no way using it correctly rather than the products fault as I am a bit clumsy. Who knows

Buy it!
After reading a few reviews around the temperature control I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm super happy with it. It took an hour for the wax to heat up so I had it on high then turned it down to medium and that kept the perfect temperature for at least 50-60 minutes. Will definitely save my pennies long term!

Easy to use, clean and store!
I bought this in the hope I’d successfully use it by myself and I have to say it was fab! I highly recommend using hard wax instead of soft and this product comes with what you need to get started although I do recommend you buy the Gigi Wax off as an addition as it can get a little messy but most importantly the instructions are helpful, it’s very easy to use and did the trick! This £30 product will save me £276 a year!

Good basic waxing kit
This is a good kit, it has all the basic items required. The wax heater works really well to heat the wax, it doesn't take long to melt the wax. The Gigi hard wax is good for home waxing it removes hair well without strips.

...
I'm giving the product 3 stars however it could just be that I'm not yet great at using it. It left alot of hair behind, particularly on my legs but I'm wondering if this is because the particular wax that comes is for bikini line. The instructions say to put the heat to max and then turn to low however even when I turned it to medium it didn't keep the wax melted so had to keep the heat on high the full time.

Brilliant waxing kit
Best waxing kit i have ever used! Heats up well, wax is really good and removes hairs (even short coarse hairs) really well. I do recommend a pre oil spray as it makes waxing less painful especially for more sensitive areas.
