DOD CARCOSA FUZZ Pedal

Solid build and space saving. Great as a master volume pedal. Not great for smooth swells, as sound completely drops off at a fixed point.

It's a good overdrive. Not much more to say. I liked it instantly and didn't have any trouble getinf what I wanted. Have a look at some vids online

Looks cool but destroys tone at anything above mid volume. Very dissapointing

I love this pedal. It's hard to describe the tone, but glassy and crunchy on the outside with a smooth melting middle is probably as good a job as I can do. I use it with a Tele into a Fender Princeton and it gives a really nice breakup, lots of attack and a 'grittier' tone compared to most other distortions. It's really very distinctive. Got a kind of Wilco Johnson feel to it. Used with a 335, you still get the grit but wth a fuller, rounder tone to it. A useful toggle switch lets you choose between a higher and low gain setting - both have their uses but I prefer the lower gain stuff myself. Just to give you an idea, other boost/OD pedals on my board include an Archer, a JHS Morning Glory, a Zen clone, a Les Lius and a Tubescreamer and this does something that none of these does. Stacks really well into the Morning Glory BTW. Definitely worth checking out!!

Carcosa is a very versatile fuzz pedal, ranging from light distortion to think, smooth fuzz, all the way up to gated fuzz. Sold my Electro Harmonix Flatiron fuzz for this as it able to cover so many varieties of fuzz. There are also of review videos online that show off the gated/velco style fuzz tones but so much more to this pedal. Also stacks really well with the DOD Looking Glass for some excellent lead tones.

For me a perfect effect pedal. From gritty overdrive through to spluttering, velcro-ripping fuzz by way of blistering distortion... This does it all. Along with an OpAmp Big Muff, my fuzz needs are satiated.

Very versatile, delivering a range from a gritty drive to insane, spitty nasty fuzz breakdown. But don't expect smooth creamy overdrive. Just what I needed.
