Great instrument for the price!
I really wasn't sure about this, but the reviews were mostly good. I haven't played a flute since I was 10 or 11 as I took up guitar soon after. At 45 now I'm reminiscing I really wanted to give it another go. Most of the student flutes I've looked at were just under £100, so I bit my lip when pressing the purchase button.I needn't have worried though at all! It's a great flute and it's actually easier to play than the one I'd had handed down to me when I was a kid. Even the low notes aren't that hard to hit after a little practice. It doesn't look cheap, the box is sturdy. It came with two cleaning cloths, grease a rod and even some white gloves - although they'd probably suit fingers half the length of mine ;)So if you are interested in taking up flute, don't be shy, give it a try!

Surprisingly good for how cheap it is
Kinda expected it to need alot of touching up to become playable, but it didnt (for me atleast.)Id question the quality assurance, i assume i was just lucky, so you should probably be prepared to have to fix ut up abit yourself, but atill good for the price

Nice Flute but Delayed Delivery
The flute is good and creates nice sound too. Matched my expectations. However, this time the amazon delivery standard was really very poor. The delivery was delayed almost by a week this was birthday present for my sister and I missed the occasion. Frustrating...

I totally love this flute
I totally love this flute. I wanted something cheap for me and my friends to muck around with in the woods, but the flute is much better than I expected. A pleasure to play.Update: I liked it so much I bought two - one in green and one in purple. Both are just as good as each other, but they have different shaped embouchure holes - one is rectangular and one is oval. I do like them both equally, but they do have a very different character and playability (the rectangular one is harder to play with clarity, but when you do get it right it is much louder than the oval one - especially in the lower range). I am very happy because I now have one of each type, but it would be nice to be able to specify which embouchure type at the time of purchase - I don't know if this is possible?

A must buy for beginers.
For this price, it is very much worth it. I bought this for starting off having never played the flute before. I have now advanced to grade 3 standard of music and the flute is working excellently. The tone is great, and the accessories with are very useful. For a new player, this would be my recommended first stop!

Great customer service. Poor Flute
Bought this as a replacement for my daughters previous Trevor James flute which was stolen from school. After reading reviews we thought this would be suitable but we were wrong. The Flute arrived before the estimated delivery date but although it looked great it played badly. The problem was that some of the keys didn't close properly therefore leading to air leaks which in turn made it nearly unplayable. Andoer are a supplier of many wonderful things but are not a musical instrument supplier and there in lies the problem, when buying any instrument it should be set up and in the case of wind/brass instruments fully serviced prior to delivery. We had the flute checked over after concerns raised by my daughters music teacher and it needed a full service costing £55.99. The saying "You get what you pay for" was never truer. All that said Andoer were excellent in arranging a return and refund so they get five stars for customer service but only 1 for the flute. As my daughter is a grade 4 student I have bit the bullet and bought her a Yamaha which sounds amazing. You may get lucky and get one that is perfect but as they are made in China and shipped straight to a supplier and on to you without being set up or checked chances are you won't. But with such good customer service you won't lose money if you take the chance.

Amazing Sound for just over £50
A surprisingly good sound for the cost. I can honestly say there's not much difference in sound between this flute and my Azumi. However the lower notes did not sound at first and I had to adjust the screws. Although I get a sound now, the lower register is still not quite right. The suppliers are very unhelpful and have no expertise whatsoever to give advice, so I wouldn't rely on them.

Great starter flute
I'm an adult returning to flute after two attempts to learn when much younger. This is a really good starter package for the price and I would recommend it. I had to use the little screw driver to do a minor adjustment as one of my keys was not opening after being pressed but the little wire had popped out from its groove and just needed slotting back in. It plays well and I am happy I bought this.
