It is light in sodium and gluten free. It taste good. Great price. Now I do not have to wait for it to go on special.

We’ve been trying to stay within the recommended sodium daily allowance due to medical issues. This brand has the best lower sodium soups we’ve found. I was excited to see these refried beans in a lower sodium variety. Tried them and immediately ordered them in bulk. The BEST refried beans from a can I’ve ever had. I don’t normally like refried beans but I genuinely love these.

I’ve always liked Amy’s food. Their refried beans are for me, just the right consistency for my burritos. I also appreciate that they have low sodium products as well

These make a handy and tasty dip for chips. We warm them up and eat them as a quick dinner with salad or for a snack. they are mild enough for kids or people who are sensitive to spicy foods. I like that they provide just enough protein to fill you up and make you satisfied. Great with tortilla chips or pita chips, chopped iceberg lettuce and tomato for a little taco salad night. Fill up a warmed up tortilla with this and some shredded cheddar for a nice little quick roll up for kids. Sour cream in a dollop on the side for dipping is always a good thing for little kids. Perfect snack for the family. Perfect meal for lighter dinners on a hot summer day.

Our family loves these beans. They have less saturated fat than other brands and the taste is amazing. My husband switched to these several years ago and we can't go back. I personally also enjoy Amy's various other flavors of refried beans. This brand is on the pricier side but for us the quality is worth the price point. It's also nice to have a bulk option via Amazon.

The reason for only awarding four stars to this product is not because of the quality of the product. Amy's products are always excellent products, and I have purchased Amy's for many years. However, the packing is a major problem. These six cans were wrapped only in a plastic overwrap and packed in a huge box (with much space remaining) together with a couple of heavy boxes which shifted position and dented these cans causing the pop-up top on one can to break, therefore beans were spread all over the rest of the cans (yuck). This is due to Amazon's poor packing practices. Fortunately, they have refunded my money. I only hope they will improve their packing protocols; this kind of thing has happened to me before. They seem to delight in packing smaller, lighter items with large heavy ones in great big boxes with a minimum of packing material to fill the void. As a result, Amazon must have to refund quite a bit of money and/or products - which amounts to a great waste of customer time.

smooth, creamy. just the right amount of salt
