Born Charles Edwin Hatcher in Tennessee and moved to Detroit at s young age sang with local doo.all groups got a contract with ric.tic records of which this CD is made up with he made some outstanding tracks for them but it was at Motown that he made his name under the owner Berry Gordy but this CD is great and a must for all Motown and northern soul fans highly recommend this

Having been waiting for a comprehensive compilation of Edwin's Ric Tic and earlyish Motown recordings to appear (especially as I put off getting his 'Early Classics' disc till it was out of print) I have to say that this was well worth the wait and the inclusion of the mono single versions as bonus tracks makes it doubly welcome in my view. With almost 30 tracks to its credit one can't reasonably grumble at the price either. Well done bbr!

A Brilliant Motown artist this music never dies and Edwin star was one of the greats of Motown so up lifting my favorite is SOS.I had this music in the 1960s and still listening to it brilliant defiantly a must Buy my friends

Re-mastered classic soul master album enhanced with all the Ric-Tic early cuts makes this CD release better than the rare in-demand vinyl edition.
