VIN Guitar Strap Locks Black Schaller-style Black (Pack of 4)

I have several guitars so buying another pair of Schaller S locks was looking quite expensive.I ordered this item of two locks. They are pretty good to be honest. Build quality is good. The finish is smooth and glossy.There are subltle difference between the Schaller brand and these. The Schaller slides and clicks into place and requires the pin to be pulled for release. These ones require the pin to be pulled either on or off of the guitar.These are longer than the Schaller ones which means I have to unlock them before some of my guitars go in their cases.Neither a majorly negative.They are easy to install and look decent.The only thing I would advise is to use your guitars original screws. The screws that come with this item and much thicker than the factory ones. As the nut sizes are the same the original screws fit with no problem.

So here's what you need to know, these spurious locks are partially compatible with official Schaller strap locksI have 3 sets of official lock sets (and straps) and an additional 4 pairs of the official buttons. But I have at approximately 15 guitars and thus a bit of a shortfall.So I thought I would try these ... on my lower end guitars (just in case)These spurious buttons are not as nice or even the same shape as the official ones, but surprisingly do fit the official Strap Lock and feel very secure.Interestingly the spurious locks do not fit the official Schaller buttons. There is an extra chamfer on the original buttons so I guess this is impacting the fit.However, considering that you get 2 pairs of buttons and locks for less than the price of one pair of original buttons, I can live with putting the copy locks sitting in the drawer.

Good quality, reasonable price and do the job...What's not to like! I have some "proper" Schaller Strap Locks, which are much higher wquality, but since these are a quarter of the price I needed to equip two guitars, so went for the cheaper option...and am glad I did. Once the strap is attached, you don't even know they are there, and therefore don't need to worry about the fact that they are not "finished" as smoothly as the Schallers...for example.

These come in a pack of four, so significantly cheaper than the Schaller brand. They are black and, while I thought the studs were plastic, they are metal.The holding screw is slightly larger than the original screw supplied by Fender, which is a good thing as it'll help prevent it pulling out.I will report back if they fail, but they seem fine. Used orginal Schaller brand on my Gibsons, but found these and trying them on the telecaster and strat.

I've have never owned the product these are imitating but I can assure you they are very good quality. I have a set on my electric guitar and they are a little better than my authentic Fender brand locks. I say better as the thread that goes through the strap is a little longer making it easier to get the nut and washer on.

Superb, easy to fit and are just like Schaller locks. I reused my old screws out of the guitar rather than the ones supplied so that I could be assured the length and pitch were correct. Amazing price though, I have my fender start and my hagstrom Viking done for less than the price of one set of Schaller.

Great Strap locks for the money, the only downside with this type of lock is the protruding catch of the strap, I like to throw my axe in a gig bag and run straight after a gig, there's a chance these could damage the guitar in the bag, so I have to separate the strap from the guitar for transport this way, no biggie.. I'm a bit lazy tho...

I bought a pack of these and put them on two straps and two guitars. They seem really good and secure so I bought another pack so I can use them on two of my other guitars.
