Bosch Professional Li-ion angle grinder
Excellent piece of kit. Lasts reasonable amount of time on 4Ah Li-ion. Lefty so like the idea that the head swivels to move the switch to the right. I've used these tools for years but still had trouble with the guard. Fits on a 'spline' and my view of splines is that they are to stop things turning. You have to slacken the clamp right off and it's still tight! Would have preferred some sort of tool-less lever clamp but perhaps this isn't practical because of the casting. NB Bosch, Tool-less adjustment to safety features tends to improve safety.When you turn the disc by hand, there is a clicking noise that sounds a little ominous but apparently this is as it should be. Bosch three year warranty too on registration.Found it to be easily as effective as a mains unit and so much more convenient - as long as you're not expecting to use it all day!!!

Useful good quality tool
I am using this cordless grinder for cutting rusted bolts and fittings from a boat trailer, works a treat with a 5 Ah battery that I had for other Bosch tools. Cuts well and is more controllable than my corded grinder.Only criticism would be that the body is slightly larger than my corded Bosch Professional grinder so it is not as easy to hold one handed.overall a great tool and a brilliant buy at under £80 on Prime Day.

Brilliant piece of kit

So far: sanded iron railings and cut iron fence post.
Outstanding bit of kit. I can imagine it would last most of the day if one is using sporadically. Sanding some iron railings back it was dead in around 1hr of continuous use. That said it does recharge quickly and if you already have the 36v charger for the Bosch lawn mower that battery fits so no need to buy the ‘professional’ one. Also cut through some iron fence posts like butter.

The complete package?
It is a pity that Bosch do not appear to offer the complete package inclusive of charger and battery, It is confusing when you read that one battery serves several products in the range and I, having bought another item previous, assumed erroneously that the lithium battery it had would operate with my latest purchase, That however was not the case and so I had to purchase another charger and battery. Bosch would need to make this clearer on it's website and manuals.

Usual Bosch quality
No lead to hold you back, powerful and light. Would have liked a pro box with it, but not a real drama, it happily doubles up with another tools in their boxes.

Bosch all the way now!
Fantastic piece of kit, no more extension cords and transformers, love the Bosch range works great with the 3amp battery but I recommend the 6amp for all day use, delivery on time as always, top marks for amazon sellers
