Kidnap [Blu-ray]

Karla Dyson (Halle Berry) is a divorced mother trying to make ends meet and not lose custody of her son who she loves most in the world! One day she takes her son Frankie (Sage Correa) to the park to have some fun. Karla gets a phone call while they're at the park and tells Frankie to stay put and not to move. While on the phone she plays Marco Polo to make sure he's still there. Frankie answers several times, but then stops. Karla thinks he's playing around and goes back to the spot where she left him, but he's not there. While trying to keep herself calm she still can't find him and starts to panic. She starts running through the park and sees the recorder Frankie plays with and then all of a sudden she sees her son being dragged into a stranger's car. She runs after the car, but the doors are locked and can't do anything. Karla gets in her van and the chase begins! This is a very suspenseful, thriller that deserves nothing less than 5 stars! You will be on the edge of your seat the entire time thinking about what she should do and what you would do! I don't want to say anymore and ruin this movie, but whether you rent or buy this, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Wow…talk about the mom from HELL…and you won’t look at a minivan in the same way again!The legendary “Halle Berry” (one the most beautiful Black Woman on the planet) gave and incredibly intense performance in this “child abduction” movie. Driving the minivan from hell…Halley Berry demonstrates that you don’t come between a mother and her child.My take on this movie: I watched this movie out of boredom, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it actually was. This movie hits (zero) 0 to 60 in the first 15 minutes and goes hardcore. I was even a little caught off guard by the brazen ass-kicking action! The story of course will have a suspenseful ending. I’ll keep this short and sweet. Just like the other reviews if you just relax and let the chips fall where they may and not mind that there may be unbelievable things that happen in this movie then you might just enjoy this. I did.If you try to predict what the most sensible thing the main character should do in whatever situation that occurs in this movie, well then, there would be no movie. Because it would be over soon.I thoroughly enjoyed this movie for what it is. Halle Berry is what makes this movie tick. Just leave logic out the window (for just 80 minutes) and just enjoy this movie. A well crafted movie to get your anger juices flowing.

Been watching movies for 50 years. Seen all the plots and pretty much know whats coming next. This one I liked. I sat and watched it with a mom and she LOVED it! I hadn't seen this kind of plot before and it was refreshing how they developed the story. Those who gave this a bad review I'd like to ask them to give me a better comparison movie to go by as a reference. I have seen them all. I took away one star because I thought the ending could have been more creative and should have included at least a scene of the other parents getting their kids back while Halle's character looked on with her son.

One of the most tension filled movies I've ever watched! Also, for once, Hollywood isn't trying to destroy family values. Despite the divorce that's part of the back story, they portray a mother who's willing to risk life & limb to save her child. Ignore the critical reviews...this one's a keeper! There are probably a lot of improbable scenarios in this film, but they didn't matter to me. I was rooting for Halle all the way. I thought from the outset that the kidnapping was arranged by the ex & his new love, so the ending was a big surprise. I was left wondering if there are really people in the world who would do this kind of thing. If so, we need to bathe our children in prayer!

If you like women in cars chasing men in cars - then this is the one for you. The car action makes the movie - in spite of some miscellaneous bodies being left in the path (wake) of their travels. You have to shut your imagination off for a while - to think this the way things work in the real world - but shucks, this is just Hollywood doing its best to rake in some loose change. Wait till it goes on sale (at W*******) in bit bucket - then it might be a good steal (oops deal). All in all - its a good popcorn time waster.

Oh YES. This was "on the edge of your seat, forget the popcorn, can't stop watching" type of movie. I love Halle Berry anyway and was intrigued by the trailer for this film so I had to see it. It is non-stop action and so good. I am a huge fan of thrillers, suspense and horror. This film did not disappoint at all. My BF and I really got into it and kept trying to figure out what would happen next. Amazing action sequences. If you like or love Halle Berry or just thrillers/suspense this is for you!!

This movie is awesome. I always like Halle Berry in movies specially ones with such suspense, a bit of thrill int his movie as well as many moments come with an edge on the seat rush. I think this movie was great. acting was done really well, it's a perfect flick, more for the older crowed because of some of the violence in it which there is not too much but enough in my opinion. I liked this movie I watched it twice. Great Plot as well.

Wer Filme mag, in denen der Adrenalinspiegel vom Anfang bis zum Ende gleichbleibend hoch bleibt,istmit diesem, zwar schon etwas älteren Film, bestens bedient.Die Story ist einfach und schnell erklärt : Bei einem Ausflug in einen Vergnügungspark wirdeiner alleinerziehenden Mutter ( mega Klasse gespielt von Halle Berry ) der sechsjährige Sohnentführt.Der absolute Alptraum jeder Eltern !! Wer sich hier nun aber fragt, was denn an diesem Filmso besonders sein soll, dem sei gesagt, das die (echt hässlichen ) Entführer nicht mit der Ausdauer,der Willenskraft und dem Mut der Mutter gerechnet haben, die vor absolut nichts zurück schreckt, um ihrKind wieder zu bekommen.Sehenswert von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute ... und am Ende bleibt genüssliche Genugtuung.Viel Spass beim Anschauen und Mitfiebern !!!

This is a good but scary movie about kidnapping! Academy Award Winning Actress Halle Berry is good about a divorced mother of a six-year-old son who is kidnapped in broad daylight after his mother gets distracted by a phone call from Frankie's father. Halle's character, Karla, made a huge mistake answering her phone and her son (played by child actor Sage Correa) is snatched away by a crazy 'trailer park trash' couple who demanded ransom money for Karla's son. The high-speed chase is scary and Karla was very determined to get her son back; she tries to get help from the police and total strangers only to get nowhere! Karla's car runs out of gas and she found her son in an old house with two other children; Karla rescued Frankie and the two girls, the 'trailer park trash' couple are dead and in the end Karla becomes a hero! Let this be a lesson to parents everywhere: Don't turn your back on your children! Ever! The movie had a good ending and I was happy Karla and Frankie were reunited.

if you haven't seen this movie yet, you have to. This is one of the best, sit on the edge of your set, thriller I've seen in years. Holly Berry is unbelievable in this movie, she really deserves an emmy for this one.

This movie was very disappointing. Halle Berry usually stars in excellent films but the story line got boring very quick. Most of the plot centers around a car chase and I thought it would never end. Certainly would not recommend it as a great, must-watch again movie!
