Good quality and very supportive.
I was recently diagnosed as having Plantar Fasciitis. The doctor advised anti inflammatory gel, massage and insoles or good supportive shoes. I purchased a pair of 3/4 insoles from the limited selection in a local chemist store. They did give relief, but I found that they moved inside my shoe. Although not entirely successful they did prove that insoles could quickly relieve the pain - I just needed to find better quality, full insoles. It was while I was searching for a foot massager on Amazon that I came across the FootActive brand. I ordered these and also another cheaper brand. The FootActive ones were the first ones to arrive. I'm on my feet all the time I'm at work in a warehouse, so I put them in my work safety shoes. The relief was instant and I felt an improvement in my general posture too! When the cheaper insoles arrived I noticed that the main difference was that the arch support was not quite as high or firm as the FootActive ones, but they were perfectly OK for my general shoes. The FootActive ones will stay in my work shoes, where my feet need the most help. The instructions do suggest that initially, wear them for a couple of hours at a time, to get used to them. I did not find this necessary. At first the arch support does feel high, but after a few minutes, once my shoes and feet have warmed, they feel very comfortable.

Wonderful insole - I'll be back for more
These are a great insole, stabilising two wobbly ankles and improving somewhat a chronic adductor strain (old roller derby breaks, sprains and injuries that never healed properly, as they don't when you're over 40). They are now snugly at home in my Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 39 runners and running feels pretty good. I got them to replace an old and battered pair of Black Superfeet and I have to say, they're doing the job nicely at half the price. I'll probably buy some more for other casual shoes that could do with support.

A definite 4 stars (possibly 5!)
After sustaining an Achilles tendon injury my physiotherapist suggested I got this product as it provided sufficient support for my foot arches and she regarded as good value for money when compared to similar but more expensive products. They were delivered on time and packaged well, and fit my work shoes perfectly (after trimming then with a pair of scissors using the size guides on the underside of the insoles). I have only been wearing them for a few days but they are comfortable even after wearing them all day. Since I am "flat footed" they are helping me to adjust my walking gate and reduce tension on my Achilles area. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because I have only used them for a short time, and I have not used any other brand and so cannot compare them. That said I intend to buy this product again for my other footwear based upon what I know so far.

Excellent insoles
I'm onto my fifth pair having used these for the last ten years or so. I've bought both more expensive and cheaper insoles which either don't fit properly or wear out after only a few months but these are really great. They are comfortable, supportive [I have raised arches] last for about two years and I like to put in a five mile walk most days. Highly recommended.

Wish I'd bought these years ago, transformative
I always knew I overpronated as the insides of my shoe soles would wear down first but I didn't see it as a massive problem and looking at insoles I was put off by spending around ยฃ20 on something I didn't think I needed. Recently I've started experience knee pain, and bad pain on the balls of my feet with some skin splitting. I was about to head to the doctors for help and also spend money on seeing a podiatrist, before I did, I thought, why not try orthotic insoles? The change is incredible, just a few days in, no more pain and my feet are heeling up. Also 1. I always thought i was just clumsy and never felt perfectly steady on my feet (never mastered the art of wearing heels and always joke that 'if i think about walking too hard I fall over'), with the insoles I suddenly feel very sturdy and balanced and my length of stride has even improved and 2. my posture has drastically improved, I believed I was just a natural slumper and needed to put more effort into standing up straight and walking tall. Turns out, it wasn't will power I was lacking but correct alignment. Now I'm naturally standing/walking with good posture and it would take effort to slump rather than vice versa. They insoles themselves take a little bit of getting used to so build up the time you spend walking with them but, if, like me, you have even the slightest concern about your posture / pronation, do not hesitate. it will likely be the best investment you can make for healthy feet and joints.

Check carefully the shape of the soles of your shoes before buying
They fit perfectly a shoe size 13. I've had these insoles for several days and walked quite a lot. I actually have plantar fasciitis - even though it's on the mend - so I was very curious about the effects. I've used them with two completely different types of shoes: normal laced walking shoes, and trainers. The results are astoundingly different based on the shoe type. In the standard shoes the insoles proved to be beneficial and actually relieved the strain on the plantar. It took me a while to adjust, but I finally like the arch support. Being made entirely of foam the support is perceptible but balanced. Then I tried the same insoles in trainers, and went for a long walk in the park. When I started to feel the pain it was too late to go back and I had to endure it for several hours. It was very painful and it actually set me back in my process of healing the fasciitis. In both cases I had removed the original insoles before applying these ones. I then realised that the massive difference was due to the inner shape of the shoe: the standard walking shoes have a completely flat sole, while the trainers have a slight arch support area. That tiny additional pressure due to the existing arch proved to be way to much and it compressed my plantar producing a sharp pain on every step. In conclusion, you might benefit from these insoles, or actually find them painful: check carefully the shape of the soles of your shoes before buying these insoles. I would also consider trying with a cheaper product, which might provide the same performance, because these ones do seem quite overpriced.
