Looks neat and easy to use
I liked the design where the brush is hidden away. Looks neat doesn’t take up much room and the brush is easy and effective to use. Seems better quality than cheaper ones that don’t last long

Neat and easy storage
Hygienic toilet brush and canister , the design means no fiddling with lifting lids to get the brush out and back after use. Clever and simple.

Very good but not perfect
The toilet brush itself is very good and sturdy and doesn't feel like it's about to fall apart like some I've had in the past that have actually fallen apart whilst brushing! It does a great job. The only reason I've given 4 stars rather than 5 is because the container the brush sits in does seem to leak a bit - perhaps I didn't shake the brush enough before putting it back in the holder. It's not nice having toilet water on the floor... I think the design is meant to allow for the water to evaporate in the container which I suppose is ok if it stays still, but when I moved it to clean underneath it, it leaked. Having said that I do like the mechanism that opens and shuts the lid of the container. Would I buy another one? I'm not sure - possibly. I've been on the hunt for a decent toilet brush for some time now and whilst this is very good, it's not perfect.

Good cleaner
Very pleased with this. Like the way it slots into the holder and though not used much yet, the bristles seem slightly softer than other brushes I’ve had so are good for scrubbing round the toilet bowl. Better than another I’ve got with silicone bristles

Well Designed Toilet Brush & Canister
The OXO Good Grips Compact Toilet Brush & Canister is so well designed and user friendly. It doesn't take up very much floor space so it's ideal for small to medium sized bathrooms. But the real beauty is in the opening and closing process. It's difficult to explain but in a nutshell, you don't need two hands. Furthermore, there is zero chance of scratching any part of the toilet bowl (as I have done previously with more traditional models that have a stainless steel lid) and that really is a bonus.

Better than silicone brushes
Having used a silicone brush for some time, decided to go back to a bristle brush, as it seems to make a better job. Like this model, as it hygienically closes over the brush when not in use. The handle is also much superior to others because it is easier to grip, and longer.

This toilet brush is extremely sturdy and shaped perfectly. I like to scrub my toilet very well and this brush is extremely well made. I can feel the sturdiness just when I pick it up and have confidence that it will preform under my strong scrubbing. The design is well thought of and reaches under the bowl well. I will definitely buy again if needed.

I surveyed numerous toilet brushes available locally and on Amazon and decided on this one. Most of the ones I physically saw were cheaper and that was obvious in the flimsy handles and bases. Cleaning a toilet is unpleasant enough without having to deal with a cheap flimsy brush. I've been able to count on OXO to at least TRY to design a product which works well. They don't always score 100% but their products are almost always near the top. They put more emphasis on their products being functional than being cheap, and should be applauded for that. What I like about this product: The handle is heavy solid plastic which seems to be strong enough to take a reasonable amount of pressure without flexing or threatening to break. The top of the handle is smooth and feels good in the hand (it's the only part that you need to touch). The brush has bristles which are quite stiff, but with the right amount of flex. The brush head is replaceable (replacements available here on Amazon). The base works effortlessly — pull the brush straight up and the base flips open and stays open. When the brush is replaced the base closes smoothly. The brush sits in a platform within the base so that any drips are collected in the bottom of the base and evaporate easily. The base has four shallow bumps which serve as feet. At first I thought I'd add rubber feet, but then realized that the plastic bumps allow the base to slide easily so if you want to keep it against the wall or in a corner it is easy to slide around by the handle while it's in the base. At this point I can't see any improvements needed. A couple of recommendations I gathered from reading other reviews before I made the purchase: The brush does unscrew from the handle for replacement, but it is screwed on very tight — unscrew the brush when you first get it (while it's still clean) so you can see how it unscrews, then screw it back on but not quite as tightly. There were many complaints about the label being hard to remove — I think OXO must have listened to the complaints because the label I received is the easily peeled off plastic type which left no residue. It's always best to peel off any label very slowly to avoid tearing and to give the adhesive time to release, though I see no problem with this label and there's no need for Goo-Gone. In reading through some reviews and questions for other toilet brushes, I ran across a question someone asked that I thought was funny... though it made me gag a little: The question was — to clean the toilet brush, is it okay to put it in the dishwasher?!! Gee!

In theory it is a great product. When you start using it, you accept that it does not have a water catcher and you try your best to remove as much of the toilet water from the brush each time you use it. You try different techniques; slamming it against the toilet seat, shaking it viciously above the toilet.. but no matter what you try, toilet water ends up in the toilet brush holder. You think all is fine, but once in a while the brush holder fills with just enough toilet water that any slight movement to the toilet brush holder gets toilet water on the floor. Now you are in a dilemma; do ignore it and hope the water magically evaporates or do you bring out your amazing balancing skills so you can pick it up and hover it over the toilet and pour it out. Jokes on you, there is toilet water everywhere. Neither solutions brings joy in using the toilet brush. It is time to move on and accept defeat...

Can one get excited about a toilet brush? Yes, maybe this one. It really is so good. You might even be inclined to use it more often. The OXO Compact Toilet Brush and Canister is very easy to pick up and replace. It has a wide, easy grip handle which is tall enough for people with mobility and coordination issues. Being a simple pick-up design adds to that: there are no tricky slots to co-ordinate with the handle, just pull to pick up. To set down just aim for the wide, open slot and let go. The brush part is an excellent size, shape and texture for getting in and around the toilet bowl. Another brand was unusable for us as the brush head was too big and hard to fit into all parts of the bowl. The fact that the OXO brush head is replaceable is an amazing bonus. If there's a tiny question mark with this excellent product it is that the brush might be just a touch too soft to clean away lime scale. But actually, this is not really an issue as there are products to dissolve lime scale and the texture of the brush is good for getting into nooks and crannies. The brush unit looks neat and discrete in the bathroom. Just the right size and a slightly muted, gentle white colour which looks fine in an all-white bathroom.
