This is an amazing lens, let alone for the price!The optical quality is excellent, there's no noticeable vignetting on APS-C cameras and there's no chromatic aberration (from the pictures I've taken, anyway).The great thing about this lens is that not only is it a 2:1 magnification (there's an entire new world at 2:1) but it can be used as a normal 60mm lens (able to focus to infinity).For 2:1, I would recommend getting a good flash with adjustable arms.I brought the Sony E mount version and I received a Canon EOS lens with a EOS to Sony E mount adapter. I would have much preferred a solid E mount lens, but it works just fine and there's no issues with it.Highly recommended not only just as a ultra-macro lens, but also as a manual 60mm lens.

I purchased the one for a Sony E-mount, so I expected the adapter which once attached will remain permanently on the lens. It would therefore have been nicer if the rear lens cap supplied fitted the Sony e-mount rather than the Cannon EOS mount which is covered.It's also heavy so it would have been nice if the adapter came with a tripod mount.Perhaps most importantly the lens makes an discomforting metal on metal sound as it's being focused.Vast amounts of grease can be seen on the inside - eventually I had to disassemble the lens to remove some that had found its way on to the top element.

I bought this to use as a wider angle macro with my a7ii.It handles quite well, but the focus ring is slightly stiffer and coarser than I would expect from a fully manual lens (the resistance increases as you approach 1:2). On the other hand, the aperture mechanism is smooth and silent.The lens vignettes at infinity on a full frame body - heavily wide open and to the point that that you can see parts of the lens mechanism at f22. That said, the centre is very sharp and I would imagine results would be very pleasing on an apsc body. I can't complain, as this is made very clear on the box!The lens is very usable on a full frame body at closer working lengths (under around 2.5m) and really shines here. Sharpness and micro contrast are excellent and it has the potential to deliver excellent images. There's still some vignetting, but this should be easy to correct in post if you shoot raw.

Okay, so let's remember that this a cheap lens, and It's fully manual. That said it has impressive picture quality with next to no chromatic aberration. The focal element is embedded inside the lens which really helps with close up macro photography. I would recommend this lens to anyone looking to to try macro.

The lens works as it should, but needs to be adjusted a bit before it can be mounted on the a6500. When the e-mount adapter is mounted on the lens, a rear lens cap is missing for the lens adapter.

I use this lens on a Sony Nex6. The lens comes with a Canon connector and a Canon-to-Sony-E-mount adapter (at no extra cost). This lens surpasses my expectations. Images are clear and sharp, it is easy to handle (of course it is manual focus, which is what you need for macro shots). Depth of field at smallets aperture is very good. I have taken hundreds of shots since I got it and am still impressed with the quality.I wonder how this lens compares to the Venus Laowa version, which is double the price. I hope this lower cost version is a legal production and not an illegal immitation, that would not be fair to the developer of the lens.

Für den preis wirklich top! Bin zufällig darauf gestoßen und verwende das Objektiv an einer sony a7rii zum stacken. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Monté sur un Eos 6d mark 2 ( ou autre Full Frame Canon ) vous perdrez la map à l'infini car lentille arrière trop près du capteur et empêche le miroir de ce déplacer. Et vous aurez aussi du vignetage après 60cm de distance de map. Sur un canon aps-c vous n'aurez aucun soucis. La qualité et franchement bonne si vous êtes habitué au tout manuel. La bague de commande de diaphragme n'a pas de cran, donc pas précis... La construction est tout de même de bonne qualité, la bague de map est grasse mais précise. Quelques aberration chromatique mais retouchable. Au final le piqué est plutôt bon et le 2:1 top ! À acheter en connaissance de cause , un objectif permettant de s'amusé dans le monde de la macro pour pas chère. ( Il est livré avec une bague d'adaptation Sony , pas utile dans mon cas )

La resolución es deficiente pero es un objetivo muy divertido por las amplias posibilidades de juego que tiene con el macro espectacular
